Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V Review

Sony Cybershot DSC HSX7V

If you are looking for a feature-filled yet simple and fun-to-use camera then try your hands on Sony’s newly developed Cybershot DSC HX7V. The camera is GPS and compass enabled and available as an updated version of version of Cybershot DSC – HX5V.

It claims to be world’s first compact digital still camera to include 3D Still Image mode for capturing 3D images, using one lens and imager. The stylish camera has an HD output which allows you to playback images and videos directly on televisions and computers via a HDMI cable.

Sony Cybershot DSC HX7V is equipped with a ‘Background Defocus‘ mode that blurs the background, aiming to replicate shallower depth of fields of wider apertures in DSLRs.

The beauty of the camera is its GPS technology that makes geo-tagging a breeze. The built-in GPS and Compass has the ability to record the location and direction where photos are taken. Besides, the HDR feature of the top-notched camera compiles the highlights, mid-tones and shadows from three separate shots to create a single image with a wide dynamic range.

To shoot videos in HD (High definition) the camera offers a dedicated ‘Movie’ button to record full HD 1080i video. One can even use ‘Sweep Panaromic Technology’ to capture 3D Panaromic images. To do this, simply press the shutter button and move the camera across a programmed path. The camera will take pictures continuously and finally stitch all them into a single image.
