After huge success of Acer Iconia A200, Acer has now something big in its stores for users. Taking a step forward from A200, Acer now showcased Acer Iconia A700 that is built in by Tegra 3 powered unit. Noting that Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System has become a trend these days, A700 maintained its level by sticking to this new and latest version of Operating System by Google.

Technical Specifications & Review of Acer Iconia A200:


Acer Iconia A700 is again a 10-inch capacitive multi-touchscreen tablet with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and full HD 1080p video playback support, as provided by Samsung and some other leading brand tablets. The Tab A700 is surprisingly light for its size. It is not the slimmest tablets of all, weighing 650 grams but it generally feels great in the hand and with thickness reduced from 13.3 mm (Acer Iconia A200) to 9.8mm improvement in its design are evident.


Acer Iconia A700 is equipped with Quad core, 1300MHz Processor with NIVDIA Tegra 3 system chip.


Just like A200, Acer Iconia A700 has a 5 megapixel rear end camera capable of capturing clear photos with flash support. However A700 could have done better by improving the camera to 8MP. We also find a front facing camera.


Tablet works on the latest software as mentioned above, Android 4.0.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Unlike other tablets manufacturer who come up with their own line of Android OS customization like Samsung with TouchWiz, the Acer is happy to provide the stock Android user interface unchanged instead, it will focus on many other value added services like AcerCloud.


Connecting other devices is now easier with Acer Iconia A700 with its Bluetooth connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. We do find a USB port v2.0 and a HDMI port through which Acer can be connected to HD TV and other additional connections. This Tablet has Dolby Digital Surround Sound System integrated too.


Along with a microSD, microSDHC storage expansion slot types expanding upto 32 GB is available.


The tablet is powered by a long-lasting 9800mAh battery allowing upto 10 hours of combined usage.


This gadget is yet to be released in the market. The expected price tag is around $499 in US, which will be approximately Rs. 25000 in India. Stay tuned for updated price of this gadget, when it will enter into the market.


This gadget will not be a best buy. There are plenty of Android tablets in the market with a low price tag. However, if you are an Acer fan, then go for this as the Acer brand value is much higher than other Chinese products.
