ZTE Unveils ZTE 910 and ZTE Orbit at MWC: Overview and Specifications

ZTE announced a total of 15 devices at MWC. Some, such as PF100, Tt98, V96, V9S and ZTE Era Smartphone were covered by us immediately.  So far, the company has not been shy in showcasing their products so let’s check what more it has got to offer?

ZTE 910

The new ZTE mobile will ship with latest Android 4.0 OS – IceCream Sandwich. It sports a 4.3-inch wide display and is outfitted with a 5 MP camera (with flsah). Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm 1.2 GHz dual-core processor that promises to make browsing experience a breeze.

Coming back to display, though ZTE 910 has a 4.3 – inch display it is WVGA at a slightly lower resolution of 480 by 800 pixels.

Preliminary Specifications:

  • Capacitive touchscreen display
  • Bluetooth Connectivity and Wi-Fi support (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, Wi-FI hotspot)
  • Micro USB v2.0
  • 5 MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash (2592 x 1944 pixels), secondary 2MP camera
  • Android 4.0S – IceCream Sandwich
  • 1.5 GHz processor
  • GPS support, geo-tagging feature
  • Standard Li-ion battery
  • MP4/H.264/H.263 player

ZTE 910 is expected to be launched in Q2 of 2012. The ZTE Android Smartphone is referred to as N91 (why? I have no idea).

 ZTE Orbit

The Orbit is meant to be an inexpensive Windows Phone with looks much similar to Blackberry phone.Though meant to be inexpensive, it is complete with 1 GHz processor, appealing 4-inch WVGA screen and a powerful 5MP camera.

The 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash is capable of taking some pretty decent pictures. The ZTE Orbit runs latest version of Windows Phone, Windows Phone ‘Tango’ (not the current Mango), which has been optimized to run on phones with lower memory and processing power.

Since it has lower memory the phone only comes with 4GB of internal memory, unfortunate to notice that it doesn’t support expandable memory. Apart from this, there are few other disappointments that you will have to overlook if you are planning to buy this phone. First, there is lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. Second, there is no GPS, and EDGE connectivity for browsing. So do think twice before taking the final decision of buying it

ZTE Orbit Specifications:

  • Latest version of Windows Phone – Tango
  • 4-inch WVGA screen
  • 1 GHz processor
  • The 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash
  • 4GB Internal Memory
