Asus to Launch first Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Tablet

Asus’s close relation with Google reflects it to be the company to launch first Jelly Bean (Android 5.0) device in the market.

Asus’s Vice-president Benson Lin on a talk with Tech radar said, “Asus is very close to Google, so once they have Android 5.0 I think there will be a high possibility that we will be the first wave to offer the Jelly Bean update.

The recent reports say the gadget to be a 7 inch device, a $200 tablet. It will be augmented to be a multi OS environment, accomplished to be loaded on various gadgets such as Windows 8 Tablet etc. The Transformer Prime which was expected to feature Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, passed the baton to the upcoming device.

As the new Android 5.0 called Jelly Bean is dominating the headlines, there are also rumors of Google to launch Android 6.0 naming it ‘Key Lime Pie’. As the naming goes alphabetically it may be next version but let’s wait for Google to settle the rumors.

Asus has also renamed its Eee Pad series to Transformer Pads with the Transformer Prime now named as Asus Transformer Pad 300. In the meantime company also announced a new Tablet, Asus Transformer Pad Infinity which resembles somewhat to bigger brother (Transformer Prime) in specifications but bears an exception with its 10-inch full HD (1920×1200) Super IPS+ display, with a 224 pixel per inch density.

The Wi-Fi only version of Transformer Pad infinity will possess a quad core Tegra chipset, running at 1.6 GHz while the 3G and 4G version will sport the older 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Krait processor.  The Transformer Prime’s features a 1.5 GHz Tegra 3 CPU, making it lose the competition with the bothers.

Let wait for the Taiwanese company to have us a bite of Jelly Bean and bring some good deals for the consumers!
