Samsung has finally unveiled the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S III in an event named Unpacked, hosted in London today. The event was streamed live on TheNextGalaxy Website. Mr. JK Shin, President of Samsung Mobile started the proceedings of the event. He discussed about all the new and advanced features of Samsung Galaxy S III. So let’s have a look on the features of Samsung Galaxy S III in its Preview.

Samsung Galaxy S III offers faster web browsing, seamless multitasking, high level graphics and an instant responsive User Interface on a large screen. It is smart enough and is a Smartphone that sees, listens and understands the user. The Samsung Galaxy S III delivers what the user expects from the device.

The Screen of the Samsung Galaxy S III is 22% larger than its predecessor i.e. Samsung Galaxy S II but it offers a lot more than that. The Samsung Galaxy S III has got a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display which offers a captivating, vivid and incredibly sharp experience. The display is super fast with a response speed of 0.01ms and is more energy efficient. So you will be able to enjoy longer hours of battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S III has got a feature known as “Smart Stay”. The ‘Smart Stay’ feature uses the secondary camera of the phone to detect whether you are looking at your device or not. The Screen goes dark if you aren’t looking towards the phone. So it knows whether to keep the screen awake or not. The Samsung Galaxy S III packs a total of 6 sensors, so it really is paying attention.

The Voice recognition feature of Samsung Galaxy S III is known as ‘S Voice’. This feature listens and responds quickly to the voice commands given by the user. The thing which we loved about this feature was that, it can understand 8 different languages.

Another interesting feature known as ‘Direct Call’ was thrown in Samsung Galaxy S III. Suppose you are texting your friend but suddenly your mind changes and you want to have a voice conversation with your friend. All you need to do is just take the device towards your ears and it will automatically dial the number for you.

The Smart Alert feature of the Samsung galaxy S III ensures that you don’t miss any of the notifications while Social Tag feature keeps you updated with friends and family via Social Networks. The Samsung Galaxy S III comes with sharing features ‘S Beam’, ‘AllShare Cast’, ‘Buddy Photo Share’ and ‘AllShare Play’ ensure you stay socially connected.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is designed with natural ergonomics so that it fits in your hands nicely. It has got Hyperglaze finish and will be available in Pebble Blue and Marble White.

The TouchWiz User Interface of the Samsung Galaxy S III has been enhanced. From Ringtones to Live Wallpapers and Lock Screen, you will find this completely different from its predecessor.

Now you will be able to do a couple of things at the same time. The ‘Pop up Play’ is an innovative feature which allows user to do two things at once with perfection.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will be available in two storage variants i.e. 16 GB and 32 GB. According to Samsung they will release a 64 GB version after a few months.

Coming towards the camera, The Samsung galaxy S III is loaded with an 8 Megapixel Camera with LED flash. It has a zero shutter lag which will help you to click photos at a faster rate. It has got features like ‘Burst shot’, ‘Best photo’, ‘Face zoom’ & ‘Group tag’. It will be able to record Full HD Videos at 30 frames per second. There’s also a 1.9 Megapixel secondary camera which will allow the user to have a video conversation over a 4G Network. The secondary camera is also capable of recording HD videos. While you’re taking a video you can also capture a still shot.

There’s also a feature called Wi-Fi Channel bonding which will double the Wi-Fi Bandwidth.

The Samsung galaxy S III will have a battery of 2100 mAh. The most interesting feature of the Samsung Galaxy S III, that you will be able to charge your phone without wires. Yes you heard right, The Samsung Galaxy S III features Wireless charging.

There’s a range of stylish accessories to enhance your experience of Samsung Galaxy S III. These accessories are a Flip Cover, an AllShare Cast Dongle and S Pebble.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will come with 50GB Dropbox Storage valid for 2 Years. Some more experimental features will arrive with Samsung Galaxy S III. Some of them are 3 Hubs for Games, Videos and Music, Mobile Payment and ‘S Health’ personal wellness app.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will be available from May 29 in Europe, and a 10 city world tour will also begin at the same time. The Samsung Galaxy S III 3G devices will be launched at the end of May, starting with Europe. The 4G version of the phone will be available in North America, Japan, and Korea during this summer. The Samsung Galaxy S III will be launched in 145 countries partnering with 296 mobile operators around the world.
