Earlier this month Samsung announced Galaxy S III, one of the most anticipated device of 2012. Followed to the launch, Samsung has already started collecting pre-orders which has crossed the 9 million mark.
To get ready for the Indian launch, Samsung will be hosting a press conference in New Delhi on 31st May. Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially launched in the same press conference in India. However, the phone will go for sale in the markets a week later the launch.
Report for BGR says, Samsung Galaxy S III will be available in the stores around 8th of June and even online retailers in India are expecting the same date for availability of the device.
Samsung Galaxy S III Price in India
Samsung is already taking pre-orders for Galaxy S III in India from its online retail store. The pre-order can be done by an advance payment of Rs. 2000/- INR. Once ordered, Samsung is giving Bluetooth headset as a free gift.
The price of Galaxy S III is not yet revealed officially, but reports say Galaxy S III will be priced at $800 or Rs. 39,990/- INR. This price is likely to be the MRP of the phone, but the street price or the online retailer price may vary.
There was a listing made on Ebay India for Samsung Galaxy S III sale. The seller quoted the price as Rs. 44,770/- which is way more than the MRP. The seller made a quote that the phone will be shipped after 1st June and there will be no fixed date of the shipment. This listing was however, ended.
Samsung Galaxy S III is another rival for HTC One X. Having already launched in India, HTC One X is retailing for Rs. 36,000/- INR. To beat with the sales, the retailing price of the new device somewhere close to HTC One X. Well, we are expecting a retail price drop after few weeks of the availability. Stay tuned.
