When it comes to larger display iPhone, every analyst and critic have an opinion. There are rumors either in favor or or against the larger display iPhone every now and then and most of such rumors are pure guesses without any concrete base. The latest rumor (or rather claim) is coming from Jefferies analyst Peter Misek.

Peter Misek sent out a note to the investors claiming that Apple has finally given in to the idea of building an iPhone 6 with a larger display. He claims that the device will ship next year around June. The larger display will be around 5 inches diagonally. Apple CEO Tim Cook said recently that Apple will only go for big screen displays when there won’t be any trade offs in going for the idea.

Tim Book believes that the larger displays tend to be not as sharp as the standard 3.5 inch or 4 inch displays in use by iPhone and lot more suffers in terms of brightness, battery, contrast etc. But Tim also believes that technology is not right now which means if and when in future Apple is able to overcome these problems with larger displays without compromising with quality, there is a definite chance that it will look towards such displays. Till then Apple’s fans will have to make do with the rumors.

In another rumor by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is developing an affordable iPad Mini for the budget users. It will be targeted at the price bracket of US $199 – $249. If this becomes true, Apple will have an iPad between price range starting from $199 and going all the way up to $929 for the 128 GB 4G enabled iPad. Kuo believes that the stripped down version of the iPad will include a lot of changes to make it cost effective for the price range.

“To cut costs, Apple might push for lower component prices, use a more advanced process to produce the A5 processor, simplify metal casing production, remove the rear camera, cut storage to 8GB and find more component suppliers to lower costs. We think this cheaper iPad mini will retail for US$199~249,” revealed Kuo.

Both the above rumors marks a significant change in the Apple mindset but we have seen in the past Apple doing opposite to what it said. Jobs admitted that nobody wanted to watch video on a small device, only to launch a video-supporting iPod soon after. iPad Mini was widely believed to be against what Apple wanted but it was revealed in an email that he agreed to the idea a few weeks before his sad demise. We have a 4 inch iPhone too which is the result of Apple finally giving in to consumer demands.

Whether we will see the above rumors to reality or whether they will serve as a food for our fantasy, only time will tell. Keep following us on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest for more such news to keep you updated.
