Nokia Lumia 625 coming with 4.7″ screen? Specifications rumored

Nokia 625

Nokia has got many handsets in the pipeline including Nokia Lumia 928 and Lumia 925. There are rumors for an aluminum plated phone codenamed Catwalk as well, but we will leave that discussion to another day. The current hottest rumors reveal that  another 4.7 inch Lumia device is in development which will have a WVGA resolution. According to Chinese sources, it will be an affordable device.

Currently the biggest screen Lumia devices hail from the 92x Lumia family. This phone with 4.7 inch WVGA resolution screen will have a purported per pixel resolution of 199 which is pretty awful considering the much higher resolution displays we have with current Lumia flagship devices. The rumors further add that it will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 chipset with dual-core processor and will run Windows Phone 8.

The chipset is in the same league as that of Lumia 920 so it is pretty confusing as to why Nokia would go with such a low resolution. If the rumors do come true, the phone will be a strange mix of pros and cons and hence we suggest you to take these rumors with a grain of salt until more information is available about the same and some form of confirmation follows from Nokia.

Nokia has been working hard on its complete mobile range as it has launched a teaser for Lumia 928, which will be released in the upcoming days. There are rumors of Lumia EOS Windows Phone with 41 MP camera too. Nokia has an event on May 14 where it will reveal its new devices, hopefully from the Lumia family. It is also working on its entry level devices as it launched the world’s first dedicated Whatsapp button phone Nokia Asha 210 a few weeks ago and another full touch Nokia Asha 501 today, both targeting affordable entry level markets demanding feature rich phones.

Coming back to Nokia Lumia 625, the rumors confirm that it won’t be launched on May 14 event but will get another separate event in June or July. Stay tuned for more updates from Nokia and follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ for more such updates.
