Rumor: Android 4.3, white Nexus 4 launching June 10, features inside

White Nexus 4

A rumor based on a report from Android and Me says that Google might reveal the Android 4.3 on June 10. According to the report, Google “wanted to demonstrate their ability to roll out new services and APIs without upgrading Android firmware” and that is why Google I/O conference did not feature any new software updates or hardware devices. Some earlier rumors even suggested that Google Android 4.3 and a new Nexus 7 will arrive in July.

It is not certain when Android 4.3 will be revealed but it is bound to happen soon within a month or two since it is high time for Google to announce an update to their highly successful Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version.

The report from Android and Me further revealed that the folks were able to get their hands on white Nexus 4 as well which is just a carbon copy of the black one with a color change. There isn’t any mention of another Nexus 4 variant with 32 GB internal storage and LTE support as suggested in other rumors. You can read the Android and Me report here.

Android 4.3 won’t be a major update and is confirmed to be coming with native support for Bluetooth Smart and Smart Ready for now. A few software finishes and bug fixes are expected to be there as well. Bluetooth Smart allows developers to use API to feed data from Bluetooth Smart compatible accessories such as fitness monitors to their apps on Bluetooth Smart Ready devices.

Android 4.3

There have been many rumors surrounding the upcoming and expected features of Android 4.3 but the most viable and believable seems to be multiple profiles for Smartphones. Google did unveil that for its Nexus tablet with Android 4.2 updates but it is yet to be passed on to Smartphones. It is not yet confirmed whether Android 4.3 will be called Key Lime Pie or another version of Jelly Bean, so take it with a pinch of salt especially when Indian petitions are going on for it to be named Kaju Katli, one of their favorite all season sweet.
