According to a listing in the Wireless Power consortium, BlackBerry Z30 will pack a medium power receiver which is capable of pulling 120 watts from a charger. This is perfect to charge the rumored 2800 mAh battery BlackBerry Z30 will be equipped with. The Smartphone is yet to be officially revealed so it is not confirmed whether the wireless charging will be there but given that the listing appeared on a reliable consortium, it is possible.

In related news, a hands-on video from Vietnamese outlet Cellphone S confirms that such a device from BlackBerry exists and will be revealed soon. The alleged video shows a Smartphone with authentic BlackBerry logo and a 5 inch AMOLED display with 720p (1280x720p) resolution and 295 PPI pixel density.

The other specifications revealed by the video includes a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a rear 8 MP camera, a front-facing 2 MP camera, a 2800 mAh battery, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It is said to be running on the upcoming latest BlackBerry 10.2 OS as well. The Smartphone also carries AT&T branding on the back indicating that the carrier might get the honor of hosting the Smartphone first. This also indicated that the Smartphone might arrive in the US first, followed by other markets around the globe.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Smartphone might launch irrespective of the company’s recent announcement to halt trading its shares and look for a buyer or a “strategic alternatives.” The company is trying to keep afloat in the highly competitive Smartphone market as its shares fall by an elephantine 38% over the last 6 months. BlackBerry reported that it has sold only sold 2.7 million BB10 devices. It is strange that the company also announced that it will release its highly popular BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS, as it is one of the USP for buying BB devices.

We expect that after the launch of BBM on other platforms, the sale of its devices is bound to fall further. Stay tuned to our blog for future updates and check out related news on phones, gadgets and tablets.
