Norton released new robust app today named Norton Online Family To Go (Beta) for iOS that allows parents to monitor their children online activities and ease to stay connected to their children while on the go. In other words the concerned parents can spy on their kids by using this app they can check online activities such as: web browsing history, chat logs and search history.
The another powerful feature called “House Rules” gives permission to set the rules for each child’s directly from their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad device and change each kid’s settings for web browsing, chat logging, personal information sharing and time limits. You can download this app free of cost from the App Store, but needs a subscription to the Norton Online Family service. Now parents got more control on their children and ease to stay connected to their children while on the go. For Android OS support planned this year.
However Android users already had Norton Mobile Security 2.0 beta app which offers lot of features like anti-phishing, remote locate functionality and users can remotely lock and wipe the device. Moreover, other app functions allow users to block uninvited calls and texts in addition to Symantec standard antimalware protection. In Android Market this app earned 4 out of 5 star rating with more than 300,000 downloads.
As far I know, Symantec new allies such as OneWifi, going to use Norton DNS to guard, deliver a secure and faster Internet experience to its clients. The two mobile operators T-Mobile Austria and KDDI Corporation are start offering Norton Mobile Security to their Android users.
