Skype

Yesterday, many Facebook user faced issues while using it. It was anticipated that the Facebook team was carrying out some major updates and rumors spread that Facebook was planning to launch a new feature this Wednesday which will soon out-date all the other social networking websites and services.

Earlier this week while visiting Seattle, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg tipped off Seattle press that the company would be launching an “awesome” new product next week that has been built by Facebook’s Seattle team. The press invitations to that event went out today, saying nothing more than “Please join us for an event at Facebook” on July 6.

The invitation image with the chat icons on it indicates that the event will bring a major change in chat service of Facebook. It seems that video chatting facility on Facebook, powered by Skype will be introduced in this event.

If we look back, Skype and Facebook worked together to bring the features of Facebook right in to the Skype messenger; and now its time to get features of Skype integrated in Facebook.

As almost all users of Facebook use text chat on Facebook, to make it more simple, they are now planning to provide facility of video chatting as well and to do so Skype is providing its technology. This will bring huge profits for both companies and people will surely get more reasons to stay on Facebook.

For video chat users might need to install a small plugin or desktop app kind of thing on their computers. It is still not cleared what it will be exactly.

Now, everyone it waiting for 6th June, when Facebook will show off its new awesome features!

Skype recently announced video calling facility on Android phones and announced the availability of Skype app for iPad few days ago. It seems, Skype is now looking to kill all the other video calling service providers.
