Best Desktop Motherboards available in India

DH67VR

After spending a week on PC assembling I decided to write about some goodt motherboards available in the market today. I have sorted out the following and placed them according to their category.

Low-end Gaming, Downloading or Casual RIG

PC’s which will be only used for casual gaming, as downloading rig or normal home use can use the following boards. People keep budget’s of casual rigs really low and that’s why getting a perfect motherboard which can suffice the need is essential. With the Intel board, I’ll strongly suggest you to go for Core i3 processors where as for AMD Board Athlon II or Phenom II processors are ideal. The best CPU and motherboard combo can bring good rig in really low pice.

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H is based on AMD AM3 CPU architecture which runs AMD Phenom II and Athlon II processors. Its really powerful motherboard and worth its price, the same can be used for any mid end gaming rig too. It performs up to the mark when Combined with Phenom II 955 BE processor, in some cases that might turn to be over prices then Athlon II X4 640 is best option.
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H is available for Rs. 4000/- INR.

Mid-end Gaming RIG

For medium gaming, its better to have a stable motherboard. Entering into Gaming performance on future proof basis their are lot’s of additions to the rig and that’s why getting a future proof makes a point. The following board will  boost the performance of CPU when over clocked and for that ‘k’ series Sandybridge CPU’s are required.
Note: Going with non ‘k’ series boards won’t allow better overclocking potentiality and that’s why if you are choosing Z68 chipset its recommended to go for ‘k’ series.

Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3

  • Form Factor: MicroATX
  • Supported Processors: Intel® Core™ i7 processors, Intel® Core™ i5 processors, Intel® Core™ i3 processors

  • Multi-Graphics:  4-Way ATI CrossFireX™/NVIDIA SLI technology
Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 is perfect motherboard for mid-end gaming, the board supports Sandybridge certified CPU’s and DDR3 RAM running on stock 2133MHz which is awesome for gaming performance. The same motherboard can be used for high level gaming rigs only if you are on a strict budget.
Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 is available for Rs. 9500/- INR

High-end Gaming RIG

As the name states these PC’s are extreme in their performance and Games are the only thing which can optimize the CPU to its fullest so for high end gaming rigs I’ve decided over the following boards which can contribute maximum in performance and easily overclockable to its fullest with handy over clocking options provided by ASUS. Both the boards below have almost same specs and being manufactured by same vendor gives same features for both Intel and AMD. However Intel Core i family of CPU’s perform a lot better than AMD’s CPU and that’s why here I’ll be suggesting to go for Intel one rather than AMD. If you consider future proof basis, AMD’s upcoming processors fitting in AM3+ socket are also supported with the board and that provides a better future proof option than Intel.

Intel Boards

I highly recommend this motherboard if you are opting for high end gaming PC. This motherboard extracts something extra from the processor when overclocked and makes the CPU to perform to its maximum. Overclocking features provided by Asus are really good and that makes the board perfect for its price.
P8Z68-V PRO is available for Rs. 11500/- INR.

AMD Boards

Crosshair V Formula belongs to ASUS’s ROG series designed specially for GAMING. Compared with its price Crosshair V Formula is perfect board when it comes to gaming. There are ROG option available for Intel too but they are damn costly where as this one for its price is killer. It runs on the 990FX one of the latest chipset from AMD and supports AMD CPU’s fitting in AM3+ socket, that means you can even use the same motherboard for Bulldozers which are coming this year end.
Crosshair V Formula is available for Rs.15500/- INR.
