Here is what Allen Burnes, vice-president of Smartphone division, Acer Europe has to say:
While much of the industry is trending toward larger and more complex devices, we believe there’s also a whole lot of room for thinking small and simple. Liquid Z3 bridges the gap for a new generation of Smartphone users, providing they really can have it all without sacrificing the size and simplicity they want.
According to Acer, the Smartphone Acer Liquid Z3 will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM versions. It will go on sale in selected countries including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Belgium and Netherlands in the beginning of mid-August. The Smartphone is priced at an affordable €99 (USD 131). Looking at the specifications, the Smartphone does not skip on much except for the front facing camera. It also comes armed with all necessary sensors like Gravity sensor and proximity sensor.
Some of the pros are that it features the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and includes the bare minimum 512 MB of RAM required for it to function properly. Some of the Indian and Chinese manufacturers have also released entry level Smartphone with Android 4.2 and dual core processors, but they somehow managed to pack only 256 MB of RAM, which will hamper the performance deeply. We are glad that Acer managed to pull off the bare minimum hardware requirements at such a price. We will hold the judgment till real time performance reviews are evaluated.
