Motorola’s Android ICS ROM revealed
A few days back, Motorola promised that both of its RAZR series phones will get an ICS update soon. The leaked version of the Android ICS ROM of Motorola Devices was going around the globe. It showcased all new Android 4.0 Skin. But the rumors and Leaks are events of the past now. Motorola has revealed the look of their ICS ROM Officially. The new Android 4.0 Skin brings a lot of changes when compared to the previous version of Android.
This time Motorola has shown some creativity in designing the interface of the Android ICS ROM. All the icons have been changed. A few things have also moved around to provide a new feel to the interface.
Now there are four shortcuts on the lock screen. Messaging and Phone Dialer were there in the previous version of the ROM. The two new things which have arrived over here are Camera and Unlock Options. Besides these four shortcuts, there is also a toggle touch at the top which lets you switch the phone to silence mode.
The Gallery app has also got some updates. Things which look a bit different is the camera app. Now the camera app will allow you to capture still images while you are shooting a video.
The All-in-one Social networking app finally has been removed from the panel of Motorola. Now you can download and use the official Facebook, Twitter and Linked-in applications.
Motorola’s step towards the Android ICS is definitely a good move. The ICS update isn’t rolled out yet but we may get a word about this some time soon.
