Apple had sold approximately 21 million iPhones in the third quarter ended, June 25, which helped it overleap Samsung Electronics and Nokia Smartphones and earned it recognition as the world’s biggest Smartphone maker.
Today, considered as the best in its class, iPhone 4 – the touch screen Smartphone and the fourth generation of iPhone developed by Apple Inc seems to have got its successor in iPhone 5. The company is all set to unveil its much awaited and much theorized iPhone.
The device is expected to have a larger screen with better remote computing services, a dual core processor support and a better integration facility with the iCloud, a storage service.
‘Apart from this, the fifth generation of iPhone, the iPhone 5 will have A5 chip as found in the iPad and be faster, thinner’ said Colin Gillis, an analyst with BGC Partners. He mentioned possible voice-recognition features as well.
Apple Inc. has cordially invited the media fraternity to a special event named as ‘Let’s talk iPhone’ on October 4 at an unusual and a smaller venue, California headquarters, Cupertino. The invitation does not disclose any other details about the event to be held.
The much awaited iPhone 5 will be the maiden product launch by Apple Inc. under presence of Tim Cook, current CEO of the organization. It is unreadable if Steve Jobs who resigned last month as CEO from the organization will share stage at the event or not.
Sources reveal that Pegatron of Taiwan and Hon Hoi Precision Industries Co Ltd is developing the model and have been demanded to gear up capacity more than 40 million units in total. Shares of Apple soon rose by 0.6 percent on Nasdaq early Tuesday afternoon, following the announcement.
