There were rumors wandering all over the web about Dell Streak 10-inch tablet. Now, new details on Dell’s rumored 10-inch tablet has emerged, which suggests that the Dell Streak Pro will be having Android Honeycomb OS.
Dell Streak Pro Specifications:
The Dell Streak Pro will sport a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor (not the model T25 Nvidia Tegra soc running at 1.2 GHz) and 1GB of RAM. Dimensions will be 261 x 176.4 x 12.9 mm, weight is 720 grams, with dual microphones and dual, front-end and rear cameras (5-megapixels on the rear and 2-megapixels up-front). With 5 megapixel camera, you can capture high-definition photos and images. With the front 2 megapixel camera, you can make video call with nice (not blurred) video (web) camera.
Dell Streak Pro will come with 16 GB, 32GB or 64GB of flash storage and a SDHC memory card reader. The 10-inch display runs at 1280 x 800, and there’s WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and there will be a possibility of AT&T 4G LTE support.
With a brushed aluminum back panel, Dell Streak Pro will apparently offer different black, pink, blue or red skins for the slate. Dell’s Stage 2.0 software will be preloaded in this honeycomb tablet. Accessories will include an in-care charging adapter, a media dock and a folding cover with integrated keyboard. For the business market shows Dell support for Exchange ActiveSync, encryption, VPN support, and Dell. It also offers to companies a productivity dock and a foldout cover with built-in keyboard. The Dell Streak Pro is expected to go on sale in June 2011.
Previously, Dell has released the 7-inch Android tablet. Dell Streak 7 inch tablet had many disadvantages:
- Proprietary 30-pin connector for charging and USB connectivity
- Disappointing screen quality
- Android Donut (old one, but released Froyo update)
- Without smart dialing
- No DivX or XviD video support preloaded.
- No Flash support in web browser in old android versions ( Froyo will add it)
- No FM radio
- Homescreen has landscape-only orientation
Dell streak 7 inch tablet sports a Nvidia Tegra dual core 1GHz processor, front 1.3 megapixel and rear 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, weight only 450 grams, and mainly 7-inch WVGA 800×480 Capacitive Multi-Touch Screen with Corning Gorilla Glass.
