Interest matters! And what more you can ask when you are offered things that interests only you and no one else. Realizing this, Facebook, the social networking giant decided to come up with new feature, expected to be named as ‘Interest List’.
Facebook announced the launch of ‘Interest List’, a new feature that will allow users to choose their favorite topics from a bunch of interest groups which in turn will help them get top news on a particular topic in their news feed.
Suppose, you have compiled an interest list that will ping you about the major technology updates in the world, then all the tech related top stories would be available in your news feed before they could turn old.
The feature will be rolled out in coming weeks and will enable users to create multiple lists through which they can subscribe to all sorts of people, then be it celebrities, sportsmen, friends or anyone.
The new Interest List feature looks much like Twitter List feature or you can say it is identical to Google Reader. However, Facebook has focused more in making this feature more customizable and flexible.
Facebook says that it will be a sort of personalized newspaper. Users will be able to create lists, share them or keep them private, depending on their own choice. They can also subscribe to lists of other users.
Let’s see what Facebook says regarding their new feature, “Interest lists can help you turn Facebook into your own personalized newspaper, with special sections—or feeds—for topics that matter to you. You can find traditional news sections like Business, Sports and Style or get much more personalized—like Tech News, NBA Players, and Art Critics.”
The Social Networking giant is making every possible attempt to satisfy its users. Recently, The social networking website customized its photo viewer with the intention to grab more users from other social networking sites.
