Huawei has officially unveiled a new addition to their MediaPad tablet family. MediaPad 7 Youth has a 7 inch 10 point multitouch display of unknown resolution. The tablet is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual core processor, 4100 mAh battery, voice call functionality via an SIM card slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The MediaPad 7 Youth is a versatile tablet that provides an unsurpassed experience across hardware and software. Ideal for young people who are always on the move, the MediaPad 7 Youth delivers on Huawei’s promise to make extraordinary technology experiences accessible for all.
Huawei said that the tablet has a strong, 19.34 cm long polished Aluminium metal unibody and is compact enough to fit into a backpack or a tote bag. It also has a powerful GPU for ultimate gaming experience and the battery allows up to two weeks of standby charge.
The tablet will go on sale this quarter in Russia, China, Asia Pacific, Middle-East and Europe. Price will be revealed at local launches of the tablet. Other details such as RAM, internal memory and display resolution will be revealed in upcoming days. The tablet joined the quad core processor powered MediaPad 7 Vogue released by Huawei last month.
