After the launch of Apple iPhone 4, the Apple iPhone 3GS started to lose its visibility in the Indian market. The main reason behind this, was the high price of the iPhone and too many Android alternatives coming into existence which were much better than the iPhone 3GS.
But now a new stock of iPhone 3GS has arrived in the Indian markets and this time it’s reasonably priced at Rs.19,990. This will be an 8 GB unlocked version of the iPhone 3GS in two color choice (black and white).
Yes, we know it has got low space but you can choose the carrier of you own choice. It seems like Apple also want some popularity among the start-segment of Smartphone buyers. We’d say this is a good move from the Apple guys (Finally Steve Jobs understands). So with this price tag, iPhone 3GS has become the cheapest iPhone in the India.
The Apple iPhone 3GS was first launched in June 2009. The cool looking device has got a processor of 600 MHz, 3.5 inch capacitive display and a 3.15 megapixels Camera which can record videos @30 fps (VGA Videos). The Phone has got the latest iOS i.e. iOS 4.3 and according to the promise of Apple, iPhone 3GS will also get iOS 5 update.
If we talk about the Smartphone markets of India, Android phones have really showed off their strength and iPhone is far behind in the line.
Last year more than 33 million Android Devices were shipped in India. This number looks pretty big when we compare it 16 million iPhone Devices. The Apple iPhone 3GS might help them get back their reputation. This is a tough task for the iPhone 3GS as it will compete some big Android names like Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Wildfire S, Motorola Droid 2, HTC Desire Z and some others too. Well lets what happens next.
Let us see how it fares finally!
