According to the latest rumors, Lenovo is working on a high end Android based Smartphone running the much famed quad core Snapdragon 800 processor. A Chinese website Leiphone leaked the images of Lenovo X910 Smartphone running a custom UI from Lenovo on top. The Smartphone is a slim looking device with a large screen 5+ inch display. It will also have Full HD 1920x1080p pixel resolution.
The leaked images show the rectangular shaped device with curved edges having the sides of the rim and the bottom likely to be made from Stainless Steel. The images also show a dual SIM set up with an SIM tray and the SIM indicator on the Status bar. This confirms that the Smartphone, which is dubbed as K6 by Lenovo, is expected to be released in Asia Pacific. We wouldn’t be surprised if Lenovo released the X910 around the globe since there isn’t any flagship phone with such premium specifications having a dual SIM functionality. It will also give an edge to Lenovo.
According to an earlier report by G for Games, an AnTuTu benchmark for Lenovo X910 was spotted running 2.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It also got an excellent score of 27931 on the AnTuTu benchmark, which once again confirmed the sheer power of Snapdragon 800 processor. Another piece of news we can take away from the benchmark was that the Smartphone was running the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. As the images and benchmark are already leaked, we suspect that the launch might be near.
The X910 is expected to be the successor of the current flagship Lenovo K900 which was showcased at CES this year and was later launched in selected Asian countries. Lenovo launched K900 along with five other Android powered Smartphones A706, A390, P780, S820 and S920 which created a lot of buzz. K900 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD Full HD display with eye-watering 401 PPI pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The current flagship Lenovo K900 packs an Intel Atom Z2580 2 GHz dual core Clover Trail+ processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It also has a 13 MP rear camera with Full HD capture, 2 MP front facing camera and a 2500 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It is available for Rs 27444 ($457) in India. The current flagship is doing well because of its good price point and a metallic body. It is strange that Lenovo chose to go with a Snapdragon processor on X910 when the Intel-Lenovo partnership was going well for them.
