Yesterday, at a Press event in New Delhi, Sony launched its exciting range of Tablets in India. Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, MD, Sony India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Hideyuki Furumi, Deputy President, VAIO & Mobile Business Group, Sony Corporation, showed off the Tablet S and Tablet P to the Indian gadget fans.
The Tablet S & P looks promising as they are equipped with latest Hardware and Software which makes them a great device to use. Sony Tablet S proves to be a perfect entertainment device which ensures rich media experience, better & fast web browsing experience, high-quality gaming experience and millions of apps to enhance user experience and device usability.
The Sony Tablet S and P both runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb Operating System and has got a 1GHz Dual Core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The processor is well complimented by 1GB RAM. As far as the storage capacity is concerned the Tablet S has a 16 GB onboard storage capacity and Tablet P comes with 4GB of internal memory but both comes with the option to expand memory using Micro SD card upto 32GB.
Though it’s not official, but as the answers of questions asked by Press given by Mr.Hideyuki Furumi, Sony Tablets will receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update later next month.

The 16GB Wi-Fi model is currently available in market and 16 GB Wi-Fi+3G model of the Tablet S will be available in market from Mid January 2012. The Sony Tablet S 16GB Wi-Fi model is priced at 29, 990 INR and the Wi-Fi + 3G model will come with the price tag of 33,990 INR.

This Dual screen tablet, Sony Tablet P has a 5.5 inch dual screen that has a resolution of 1024×480 pixels. Sony designed it as a Mobile Communication Entertainment device as you can fold it and carry with you in your pocket anywhere but frankly speaking, this Tablet is more of girl thing and only gaming guys will love to carry it with them.
Yesterday, while attending the Press conference, I noticed that females were attracted more towards the Tablet P. I was looking forward to try Tablet S, whereas my team-mate, who was a girl, loved the Tablet P.
The dimension of the Sony Tablet P is 3.11 x 7.08 x 1.02 inches, which after folding easily fits in the pocket. In the camera section the Tablet P offers a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. As far as the battery is concerned the Tablet P has a Li-Ion 3080mAh battery. In the connectivity segment the Tablet P has a Bluetooth 2.1and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.
The Tablet P will hit the market in Mid-Jan 2012 and will be priced at 36,990 INR for buyers.
