Asus announced the third iterations of its hybrid Asus Padfone Infinity A80 earlier this year. Now its successor Asus Padfone Infinity A86 has been spotted in images alongside its predecessor. The leaked images from ePrice shows a similar design to its predecessor but is said to upgrade the processor to Snapdragon 800. A placeholder has also been spotted in the Asus support pages while is usually a precursor to an upcoming device.
The rumored specifications of the Smartphone-tablet hybrid remain remarkably similar to its predecessor except for the upgraded processor. It is expected to come with a 5 inch Full HD 1080p display, 13 MP rear camera, 2 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The tablet dock is also expected to be similar to the current generation Padfone Infinity.
Forever plugged-in leaker Evleaks also leaked some specifications of the rumored Padfone Infinity A86 in which it revealed the model number A86, Snapdragon 800 processor, presence of a Micro SD card slot, a noise-cancelling microphone and white color.
The Asus Padfone Infinity was also spotted in a GFX benchmark listing. According to the benchmarks, it will be codenamed Padfone T004 and will run on Android 4.2.2. The presence of a Full HD display was also confirmed by the benchmarks. No details are available about its pricing or availability but the IFA launch this month is as good a bet as any. It is suggested to be available by September end.
To remind you, its predecessor A80 has a 5 inch Full HD display on the Smartphone which can turn into a 10.1 inch tablet when docked to its Padfone Infinity Station. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB RAM and comes in 32/64 GB variants. It supports LTE and NFC connectivity.
