Overview

Eneba is a digital marketplace for game keys and related gaming and entertainment products, best suited to buyers who want to compare offers and merchants looking for digital-goods sales tools. Its breadth is a strength; checking a key’s region, platform, and activation rules is essential before purchase.

Launched in 2018 and operated by JSC “Helis play” in Vilnius, Eneba serves gamers, publishers, sellers, creators, and partners. Shoppers and merchants use different sides of the service: marketplace listings for buyers, and onboarding, reporting, and sales tools for approved sellers.

Key features

Product marketplace

The catalogue spans game keys, gift cards, subscriptions, top-ups, DLC, in-game currencies, and other digital products. Eneba says it offers more than 80,000 products and has over 10 million registered users. Listings show seller information, region, platform, activation rules, and key notices before checkout. That context helps buyers judge suitability, but it does not remove the need to check each item: some games have regional restrictions, and the wrong region or platform can make a key unusable for a buyer.

Delivery is instant and region coverage is global. Checkout can include PayPal and debit or credit cards, though the methods offered depend on the vendor, buyer’s region, and product type. The advertised starting price is $0.77 one-time; prices vary by product.

Seller verification and buyer support

Sellers must complete verification before selling, and Eneba says it monitors and reviews marketplace activity. Buyer Protection and support apply to eligible purchase issues, subject to the refund rules. For code problems, buyers can contact support and provide requested evidence such as screenshots or error messages. These safeguards offer a route to resolve a confirmed issue, not a broad right to change one’s mind after revealing a valid key.

Activation and refunds

Eneba advises buyers to confirm both activation platform and region before checkout. For a valid digital key, a refund can be requested before it is accessed or displayed; a revealed valid key generally cannot be refunded for a change of mind. A refund may be possible for an unviewed key or a confirmed code issue. The stated refund window is 14 days, subject to these conditions.

Merchant tools and extension

Seller onboarding includes account registration, a KYC form and verification, and setting up an Eneba Wallet for payments. Sellers can use a panel for sales data, settlements, and detailed reports, and automate sales through API integration. The Merchant API is GraphQL, secured with OAuth 2.0, and gives approved merchants access to sales, reports, stock, pricing, and related marketplace operations. It is restricted to digital-product merchants who apply to become Eneba merchants, so it is not a general-purpose integration for ordinary buyers.

An optional browser extension can activate supported Steam products without revealing the key. Eneba says it does not collect or store personal information or product keys, and uses Steam session cookies only during instant activation. That is a focused convenience for supported Steam purchases, not a replacement for checking the product’s region and platform first.

Pricing

Eneba is a paid marketplace rather than a subscription plan: digital products start at $0.77 one-time, with the price depending on the item. Buyers should compare the specific offer and its activation conditions rather than treat the starting price as representative of the catalogue. There is no stated buyer trial or free tier.

Merchant access requires onboarding and approval; custom pricing applies. The API and seller panel are aimed at merchants selling digital goods, not shoppers seeking a paid membership.

Platforms

Eneba is available on web, Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux, with an extension and API. Product activation may involve platforms including Steam, Xbox Live, GOG.com, Nintendo, Ubisoft Connect, Origin, PSN, and Windows Store. Store access and activation platform are separate considerations: buyers should confirm the platform specified on the product page before paying.

Who it's for

Eneba suits gamers who want to compare digital game and entertainment offers, including keys, top-ups, gift cards, and subscriptions. It is less suitable for buyers who do not want to verify regional or activation limits, or who expect a change-of-mind refund after displaying a valid key.

Publishers and digital-product sellers may value marketplace reach, seller reporting, and API automation. The merchant path involves verification and application, so it is not an instant self-serve option for anyone who wants to connect a store without approval.

Pros and cons

Pros: A catalogue spanning more than 80,000 products gives buyers multiple kinds of gaming and entertainment goods to compare in one marketplace.
Pros: Listings disclose seller, region, platform, and activation rules before checkout, helping buyers screen for compatibility.
Pros: Verified seller onboarding, marketplace monitoring, Buyer Protection, and support offer defined safeguards for eligible purchase issues.
Pros: Merchant reports, settlements, and a GraphQL API support sellers who need more than manual order handling.
Cons: Region and activation restrictions make careful product-by-product checking necessary; a low starting price does not guarantee the right offer for a buyer.
Cons: A displayed valid key generally cannot be refunded just because the buyer changed their mind.
Cons: API access is limited to approved digital-product merchants, adding onboarding steps for sellers who want automation.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of similar stores, browse Game Key Marketplaces. G2A is worth considering if a free tier and Plus Points earned on purchases appeal; its free plan converts 100 Plus Points to 1 EUR toward future orders. Gameflip may suit sellers seeking a commission-free membership: Gamer CLUB costs 1.00 USD per month after a 30-day trial and has a $50 sales cap.

GamersGate, IndieGala, Instant Gaming, Kinguin, Voidu, and Treezion are other marketplace alternatives to compare.

Verdict

Eneba is a sensible choice for gamers who want a broad catalogue and enough listing detail to compare digital offers, and for digital-product merchants who can use its approved seller tools. Its main advantage is the range paired with pre-checkout activation details; its main drawback is that a revealed valid key generally cannot be refunded for a change of mind. Choose it when you are prepared to verify the product conditions before purchase, and look elsewhere if you need more forgiving post-purchase returns.
