Overview

The feature covers I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signature workflows, with an audit trail. That combination gives teams a place to manage recurring documentation and EEO-1 reporting, rather than treating each as a separate task. Harmny says its wider platform contains 26 modules across Core HR, People Ops, Work, Analytics, and Engagement.

The founder describes the broader product as bringing performance reviews, career frameworks, OKRs, and 1:1s together. That scope may appeal to organizations consolidating people processes, but teams that need only compliance reporting may prefer a more focused product.

Key features

Compliance and audit trail: I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signatures are covered. The audit trail is useful for keeping a record of activity across these workflows.
Connections: Starter includes Google Calendar sync. Custom HRIS integrations are an Enterprise feature, so organizations that need a tailored HRIS connection should account for the custom-priced tier.
API access: The REST API is available on Growth and Enterprise, not Starter. Teams that need programmatic access must therefore choose at least Growth.
Enterprise controls: Enterprise includes SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and custom data residency. SOC 2 Type II is on Harmny’s roadmap, so organizations that require that audit today should look elsewhere.
Support: Support ranges from community on Free to email on Starter, priority on Growth, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager on Enterprise. The higher tiers are the relevant options for teams that need more direct assistance.

Pricing

Harmny uses a freemium model, with paid plans from $8/user/mo and a 14-day trial for Starter and Growth; neither trial requires a credit card. The tier differences matter particularly for team size, document handling, and access to integrations or support.

Free: Free, billed forever, with no credit card required. It supports up to 10 users, 5 GB of storage, and a 2 MB maximum upload. This is a sensible starting point for a small team with light document needs, but the low upload ceiling can make larger files impractical.
Starter: 8.00 USD per month; billed $6.40 / user / mo billed annually. It allows unlimited users with a 3-seat minimum, 50 GB of storage, and 25 MB uploads. Google Calendar sync and email support are included. This suits teams moving beyond the free caps, though it lacks the REST API and priority support.
Growth: 16.00 USD per month; billed $12.80 / user / mo billed annually. It requires at least 5 seats and adds unlimited storage, unlimited file upload size, REST API access, and priority support. It is the stronger fit for document-heavy teams or those needing API access, but the minimum seats make it less suitable for a small group.
Enterprise: Custom pricing, with annual contracts available. It includes unlimited users, custom HRIS integrations, custom data residency, a custom SLA, SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager. This tier is aimed at organizations with integration, identity, or contractual requirements rather than buyers seeking a low-cost entry point.

Platforms

Harmny is available on the web and through an API. Teams looking for a listed mobile app platform should consider alternatives.

Who it's for

Harmny is most compelling for teams that want I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy-signature workflows in the same system as broader HR and people-operations modules. Free is appropriate for a small team testing a light workflow; Starter or Growth makes more sense as document volume, API needs, or support expectations rise. It is less suited to organizations that require SOC 2 Type II now, or to buyers who only need a narrow EEO reporting product.

Pros and cons

Pro: Several compliance workflows and EEO-1 reporting are paired with an audit trail, giving teams a more consolidated way to handle recurring documentation.
Pro: The free plan has no time limit or card requirement, which lets teams of up to 10 users try the product without a subscription commitment.
Con: Free’s 2 MB upload limit and 5 GB storage cap constrain document-heavy use; larger uploads require Starter or above.
Con: REST API access starts at Growth, while custom HRIS integration and advanced identity controls require Enterprise.
Con: SOC 2 Type II remains on the roadmap, which may rule Harmny out for organizations that require that audit status.

Alternatives

For a broader set of HR options, Zoho People has a free plan for five users and web, iOS, and Android access; it may suit a smaller team that prioritizes mobile availability.

Oracle Fusion HCM Analytics is a paid option with a trial and a listed $5.00 USD per month subscription for each hosted employee, but it requires at least 1,000 hosted employees and a standard three-year term. That commitment makes it a more relevant comparison for large organizations.

NEOGOV Insight uses customized pricing based on selected products and agency size, so consider it when that pricing approach fits your buying process.

ADP Workforce Now is a paid payroll and HR suite, with benefits administration included on Plus; it may be preferable when that broader suite is the priority.

EEO Reporter is another paid web-based option to consider for EEO reporting.

Netchex HR offers paid plans ranging from Core, with unlimited payroll runs and pay cards, to All-In, which adds hiring, time and scheduling, benefits, and performance management. Consider it when payroll and those adjacent HR functions are the focus.

Workable has a free plan and paid monthly plans starting at 299.00 USD for 1–20 employees with unlimited active jobs on Standard; it is a relevant alternative when recruiting is the central need.

Paycor offers paid plans for organizations under 50 employees, with plan pricing not listed; it is another option to compare for that size of organization.

Verdict

Choose Harmny HR Compliance if your team wants several compliance workflows and EEO-1 reporting alongside a broader HR platform, with a no-expiry free tier to get started. Its main advantage is that consolidation; its main drawback is that meaningful scale, API access, custom integrations, and stronger support push teams into higher tiers, while SOC 2 Type II is not yet in place.
