Overview

Clara reads email threads, proposes times, follows up with participants who have not replied, and stays in the thread until a meeting is confirmed. When plans change, it coordinates a new time, cancels the original invitation, and sends an updated one. That makes Clara a fit for people who want scheduling handled within existing conversations; it is less compelling for anyone who prefers invitees to choose from a booking page.

Key features

Email scheduling and controls

Users can set scheduling windows, buffer times, meeting types, priority contacts, and communication preferences. Those controls give Clara rules to follow across different kinds of meetings, rather than treating every request alike. Their usefulness depends on whether the user is comfortable delegating those choices to an assistant.

Group coordination and integrations

Clara tracks participant responses for group meetings and supports calls across time zones, useful when finding a shared slot is more involved than coordinating one person. It works natively with Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook and Exchange. Zoom and Teams are also shown among the associated tools, though that alone does not establish what specific video workflow is supported.

Privacy and security

Clara says no human reads scheduling emails and that customer data is not used to train its models. Its privacy policy describes a SOC 2 Type II certified security program and encryption in transit and at rest. But email and calendar content may be sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to generate scheduling responses, a material consideration for organizations handling sensitive communications. After account deletion, data is deleted or de-identified within 30 days; backup copies may remain for up to 90 days.

Pricing

The Free plan is free and includes a 14-day period, five meetings, multiple calendars, and customizable preferences. It is enough to assess the workflow, but not a durable option for regular use: once the five-meeting limit is reached, Clara stops scheduling until the customer upgrades.

Standard costs 80.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and allows 30 meetings. It adds delegate access and advanced integrations while retaining multiple calendars and customizable preferences. This plan is aimed at people with steady scheduling volume who need delegation; the 30-meeting ceiling and monthly price make it a poor match for occasional users.

Enterprise has custom pricing and unlimited meetings, multiple calendars, delegate access, company-wide preferences, an admin settings dashboard, and a custom domain email address for scheduling on the customer's behalf. Those controls are more relevant to organizations standardizing scheduling across a team than to an individual buyer. No price is given, so teams should weigh the administrative and domain features against a custom quote.

Platforms

Clara is available on the web. Its native calendar integrations cover Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook and Exchange, making it a better fit for users already working in those ecosystems than for people who need a dedicated mobile app.

Who it's for

Clara presents use cases for recruiters, legal and finance professionals, executives and founders, and agencies. The common case is a role or team spending enough time coordinating meetings by email to benefit from delegation. Its group scheduling and time-zone support also suit teams arranging calls with several participants. The price and meeting cap make it less suitable for casual scheduling or anyone who needs a lasting free option.

Pros and cons

Pros

Handles follow-ups and rescheduling in the email thread, reducing the need to manage each reply and calendar change manually.
Tracks group responses and supports multiple time zones, useful for coordinating meetings across participants.
Scheduling preferences, delegate access, and Enterprise-wide controls let users choose how much of the process to hand over.
Clara describes encryption in transit and at rest and says customer data is not used to train its models.

Cons

The Free plan is limited to five meetings in 14 days and stops scheduling at the cap, so it is primarily a brief evaluation period.
Standard costs 80.00 USD per month for 30 meetings, a substantial commitment for a solo user with modest scheduling needs.
Email and calendar content may be sent to three named AI providers to generate responses, which may not suit every privacy-sensitive organization.
Web is the only listed platform, limiting the fit for users who require a dedicated mobile app.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, explore AI Scheduling Assistants, AI Personal Assistants, or Calendar apps. Choose Toki if you want an assistant available across mobile, desktop, and web platforms with a free plan that supports up to three calendars. Remeet is an option for teams that need a weekly sync hour, support for up to 15 users, and two weeks of cloud recordings on its free plan. Sidekick Scheduling offers a free plan with one connected source and three scheduling pages across Android, iOS, and web.

Kronologic is worth considering if a booking page, Google Calendar support, and two meeting types on a free plan better match the job. CalendarBridge AI Scheduling Assistant may suit users looking for event syncing and scheduling pages across mobile and web, though it has no free plan. Pick Ari for a free allowance of 10 total meetings, one Google and one Microsoft calendar, and a booking page, with iOS and macOS apps. DayOtter is a stronger fit for someone seeking a forever-free web or Android option with unlimited event types and booking pages, calendar sync, reminders, and group polls. Sarra offers a free plan with three meetings per month per seat, one saved meeting type, one calendar connection, and a follow-up nudge every two days.

Verdict

Clara is a good choice for professionals and teams who spend enough time arranging meetings in email to justify handing off replies, follow-ups, and rescheduling. Its group coordination and preference controls strengthen that case. Look elsewhere if you need a low-cost ongoing plan, a dedicated mobile app, or do not want email and calendar content sent to third-party AI providers.
