Overview

LOVO AI’s Genny is an online platform for producing voiceovers and videos, aimed at creators and teams who want speech, editing, and content-generation tools together. It is a strong fit for assembling finished video content; the trial’s download restriction and plan quotas are important drawbacks for anyone evaluating it for regular production.

Key features

Voice generation and cloning

LOVO says its library spans more than 500 voices in 100 languages, and the service supports voice cloning. A 2,000-character maximum input and MP3, WAV, and MP4 exports cover common short-form voiceover and video workflows. For ongoing use, the monthly voice-hour allowance will matter more than the size of the library.

Video, scripts, and images

Genny combines voiceovers with video editing, effects, transitions, and subtitle generation; the auto-subtitle tool supports more than 20 languages. Genny Write uses ChatGPT to create video scripts, and an AI art generator creates royalty-free images. That combination suits creators building complete video assets in one place, but is less relevant if the requirement is only text-to-speech.

API and enterprise

The API lets developers add LOVO voices to their own apps or services. Enterprise customers can contact LOVO about SLAs, enterprise-grade security, and on-premise deployment, including deployment on CPU. These options make the product relevant beyond individual content production, though enterprise terms require a direct conversation.

Pricing

LOVO offers a free plan and a 14-day Pro trial. The trial does not permit project downloads, and shared project playback carries a LOVO watermark, so it is a limited way to judge deliverables rather than a route to exportable finished work. After the trial, the indefinite free plan remains available with limited features and a five-project cap.

Plan	Price	Allowance
Free	Free	Limited features; 5 projects
Basic	Custom pricing	2 voice generation hours/month; 10 projects
Pro	Custom pricing	5 voice generation hours/month; 50 projects
Pro+	Custom pricing	20 voice generation hours/month; unlimited projects
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Unlimited projects; contact LOVO for details

Paid Basic, Pro, Pro+, and Enterprise subscriptions grant commercial rights to generated content. Basic may suit occasional projects, while Pro offers more headroom and a larger project cap. Pro+ is the clearest fit for heavier monthly voice production or a large project library. All paid tiers are custom pricing, so readers cannot compare the cost of those allowances from the plan figures alone. For needs above 30 voice generation hours per month, LOVO asks customers to contact it.

Platforms

Genny is an online platform, and LOVO also offers API access. Its listed platforms are web and API, with commercial use available through paid subscriptions.

Who it's for

LOVO presents Genny for marketing, training, social media, audiobooks, and podcasts. It is best suited to creators and teams who can use both voice and video tools, or developers who want to integrate LOVO voices. It is a weaker fit for people who need an unrestricted trial export, predictable published prices, or more than 30 monthly voice hours without contacting sales.

Pros and cons

Pros: A broad voice library across 100 languages, voice cloning, video editing, subtitles, script writing, and image generation are brought together in one service.
Pros: The API and enterprise deployment options extend the product to app integration and organizational use.
Cons: The 14-day Pro trial blocks downloads and adds a watermark to shared playback, limiting its usefulness for evaluating export-ready work.
Cons: Monthly voice-hour quotas range from 2 to 20 on the named paid tiers, and their prices are custom, making both capacity and cost harder to assess upfront.

Alternatives

For a different set of voice-generation options, compare AI Voice Generators, AI Voice Cloning Software, Game Voice Generators, and Text-to-Speech Software.

Typecast is worth comparing if you want a free plan with 3 projects, 3,000 lifetime credits, 1 GB media storage, and 720p video exports, plus Android and iOS apps.
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech is an alternative for API and web use with a character-based model: standard voices include 0 to 4 million characters free, then cost US$0.000004 per character (US$4 per 1 million characters).
Fish Audio is another freemium option, with a free tier that includes 8,000 monthly credits, up to 7 minutes of generation, and a 500-character generation cap.
Kokoro TTS is a free alternative if an open-weight model with Apache-licensed weights is the priority.
Speechify offers a free plan with 10 voices and a maximum speed of 1.5x.
Voicemaker has a free plan with limited generations, a 250-character conversion cap, 120 languages, and personal-use terms.
Cartesia Sonic offers a free tier with 20K monthly credits and $1 prepaid agents per month.
Chatterbox TTS is a free alternative with open-source models under the MIT license for research and development.

Verdict

Choose LOVO AI if you want voice generation and cloning alongside video editing, subtitles, scripts, and image tools, with an API or enterprise deployment available for broader use. Look elsewhere if you need to export a trial project, know paid costs before contacting the company, or require substantially more than the included monthly voice-hour allowances.
