Overview

AlumniMS brings 15 modules together without plugins, integrations or extra module charges. For an institution coordinating several kinds of alumni activity, that breadth can reduce the need to manage separate systems for events, mentoring and donations. Each school receives an isolated network on its own subdomain, with institution-specific branding, roles, permissions, approval governance and admin settings. The site advertises 99.9% uptime.

Those controls make the platform a plausible fit for institutions that need clear administrative boundaries. The tradeoff is a tier structure that gates custom domains and advanced reports behind Pro, while Free and Starter also lack priority support.

Key features

Networking and careers

Members can search profiles by industry, location and graduation year, with AI-powered compatibility matching. The job board lets members post opportunities and apply in one click using their profile CV, subject to an approval workflow. This gives alumni practical ways to discover peers and career opportunities within the same community.

Events, elections and mentoring

Administrators can create events, manage RSVPs, issue QR ticket codes and scan attendees at the door, a useful set of tools for handling both registration and check-in. Anonymous secure voting supports executive committee elections, while polls can be scoped to batches, groups or faculty. Mentorship matching uses skills and goals, with session booking, ratings, feedback and progress tracking; that makes the module more structured than a simple mentor directory.

Messaging and fundraising

Connected alumni can message one another privately and see read receipts. Donation and scholarship tools cover scholarship funds, emergency aid and building projects, with a ledger that tracks fund types. The combination supports both individual networking and institution-led fundraising, though the platform’s breadth may be more than a school seeking only a directory needs.

Pricing

All plans start with a 30-day free trial, and no credit card is required. Every tier includes all 15 modules and a custom subdomain, so the main differences are member capacity, analytics, reporting, domain options and support.

Free — free: Up to 100 members, basic analytics and all modules. It is a sensible starting point for a small alumni group, but excludes custom domains, priority support and advanced reports.
Starter — 29.00 USD per month: Up to 500 members, basic analytics and all modules, with email support. It increases capacity over Free but retains the same domain and reporting limits, so institutions needing a custom domain or deeper reports will not gain those by moving to Starter.
Pro — 79.00 USD per month: Up to 5,000 members, advanced analytics, a custom domain, advanced reports and priority support, alongside all modules. This is the first tier suited to institutions that need those administrative and reporting capabilities; the price is a considerable step up from Starter.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Unlimited members, advanced analytics, custom domain, priority support, onboarding and a dedicated instance option, plus an SLA guarantee. It is aimed at institutions that outgrow Pro’s cap or need the additional infrastructure and service commitments.

Starter and Pro include email support; Pro and Enterprise add priority support, while onboarding support is included on Enterprise. Free and Starter cap membership at 100 and 500 respectively, which can make growth a reason to upgrade even if the institution does not need Pro’s other features.

Platforms

AlumniMS is available on the web. Institutions looking for a dedicated Android or iOS app should account for that platform scope when comparing options.

Who it's for

AlumniMS is best for schools and colleges that want alumni networking, careers, events, mentorship and fundraising under institution-level governance. Free can suit a community of up to 100 members testing a small-scale setup; Starter extends that to 500 for a modest monthly cost. Larger communities needing a custom domain, advanced reporting or priority support will find Pro more appropriate. Institutions that require unlimited capacity, onboarding or an SLA guarantee should consider Enterprise.

It is less compelling for organizations that need only a simple alumni directory, or for groups that require mobile apps rather than a web platform.

Pros and cons

Pro: All 15 modules are included across every tier, so schools do not have to pay extra for individual modules or plugins.
Pro: Institution-specific isolation, permissions and approval governance support separate administration for each school.
Pro: The event, mentoring and fundraising tools cover concrete workflows, from QR check-in to donation fund tracking.
Con: Free and Starter are limited to 100 and 500 members, respectively, and lack custom domains and advanced reports.
Con: The jump from Starter at 29.00 USD per month to Pro at 79.00 USD per month may be hard to justify for institutions needing more capacity but not Pro’s full feature set.
Con: The platform is web-only, which may not suit institutions that want Android or iOS access.

Alternatives

Alumni Management Software is a useful category page for readers comparing alumni platforms broadly. Scholva Alumni Network may suit institutions that prioritize Android alongside web access and a free plan for up to 200 students. Feending is another freemium option, with a free plan offering unlimited users but only one administrator. Alumnly may be worth comparing for institutions seeking Android and iOS as well as web access; its Starter plan is 199.00 USD per year and includes a directory, newsletter email pay-per-use, photos, news, alumni stories and posts.

Alumbook is a paid option with Android, iOS and web access; its Complete Alumni Platform plan costs 199.00 USD per month for up to 1,000 alumni users and includes 5GB video storage. Anthology Encompass is a paid alternative with Android, iOS and web platforms. PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is a paid, web-based alternative with a free plan. AlmaShines offers a freemium option with Android, iOS and web access; its Booster plan is 1199.00 USD per year for up to 5 admins and 3,000 alumni. Alumn-us is a paid web-based option with institutional, starter and growth tiers at custom pricing.

Verdict

AlumniMS is a strong fit for schools and colleges that want one governed portal for alumni engagement rather than separate modules and tools. Its main advantage is the breadth of integrated workflows at every tier; its main drawback is that growing past Starter or needing custom domains and advanced reporting means paying for Pro. Choose it if those institutional controls and bundled capabilities matter more than mobile apps or a lower-cost route to advanced features.
