Overview

Scholva brings alumni records, community activity, fundraising, mentorship, and degree checks into one module. Graduates can maintain searchable profiles, while schools can add new graduates automatically or import historical alumni from CSV or invite them by email. This gives institutions several ways to build a network, though the student cap on the free plan may rule it out for larger communities.

The alumni module connects to Scholva Academics for graduate intake, Fee Management for donation processing, and Communication for newsletters and announcements. Razorpay supports card payments, UPI, net banking, and wallets. The connections make the product more compelling for schools already using Scholva’s other modules than for organizations seeking a standalone alumni system.

Key features

Profiles and community

Alumni can be searched by batch, profession, or location and update their own profiles. Schools can run reunions and networking events, send invitations, track RSVPs, and share photos. Community spaces, email campaigns, and engagement analytics extend the toolkit beyond maintaining a directory, giving institutions several ways to keep graduates involved.

Mentorship, fundraising, and verification

The system proposes student-alumni mentorship matches based on interests and goals, with a coordinator approving them. That approval step keeps matching under school oversight. Fundraising tools track contributions, issue automatic tax receipts, and show campaign progress; Razorpay handles a range of payment methods. Each alumni profile also has a unique verification link employers can use to check degree authenticity online.

Data and administration

CSV and Excel imports include a dry run that flags problems before records are saved, a useful safeguard when bringing in historical data. Scholva encrypts stored data with AES-256 and connections with TLS 1.3. Granular role-based access offers more than 50 permissions and a full audit trail. Data is hosted in India on SOC 2 certified infrastructure; enterprise plans offer dedicated instances. Daily backups are retained for 30 days, with point-in-time recovery and quarterly disaster-recovery testing.

Pricing

Scholva uses a freemium model and offers a free trial. Its published Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free for up to 200 students. The plan includes event management, mentoring programs, fundraising tools, community spaces, a mobile app, email campaigns, and engagement analytics. That is a substantial starting set for a small alumni community, but the 200-student ceiling limits its reach as records grow. Paid plans use custom pricing; enterprise plans can include dedicated instances.

Platforms

Scholva supports web and Android. The mobile app is relevant for alumni who engage from phones, while web access supports school staff managing records and programs.

Who it's for

Indian schools, colleges, and coaching institutes that want alumni networking, giving, mentorship, and degree verification alongside Scholva education modules are the clearest fit. Institutions with more than 200 students in the alumni network will need a paid plan. A school looking only for a lightweight directory, or one not using related Scholva modules, may find the integrated scope less important.

Pros and cons

Broad alumni toolkit: Events, mentorship, fundraising, community spaces, campaigns, analytics, and degree checks cover more than directory management.
Useful administrative safeguards: Import dry runs, granular permissions, audit trails, encryption, and recovery measures address common data-management concerns.
Free entry point: The Free plan includes several engagement and fundraising tools, but is limited to 200 students.
Custom pricing for paid plans: Schools that exceed the free cap must seek custom pricing rather than choose a published paid tier.
Indian education focus: India-hosted data and Razorpay integration suit the stated market, but may be less relevant to institutions elsewhere.

Alternatives

Browse Alumni Management Software for more options. Choose AlumniMS if a web-based alternative with a free plan for up to 100 members, all 15 modules, and a custom subdomain better fits a smaller network. Its free tier lacks a custom domain and priority support.

Feending is worth considering for organizations that want a web and API option with an unlimited-user free plan, though that plan allows one administrator. Alumnly is an alternative for institutions seeking Android, iOS, and web access with a paid annual Starter plan. Alumbook is another paid option, with an Android, iOS, and web platform and a Complete Alumni Platform plan for up to 1,000 alumni users.

Choose AlumUnion if a free web platform with no setup, subscription, or per-member charge is the priority; fees apply to online payments. Anthology Encompass is a paid alternative for Android, iOS, and web. PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is a paid web alternative. AlmaShines offers a freemium Android, iOS, and web option, with its Booster plan priced at 1199.00 USD per year for up to five admins and 3,000 alumni.

Verdict

Scholva Alumni Network is a strong fit for Indian education institutions that want alumni engagement, giving, mentorship, and degree verification connected to their broader school workflows. Its main advantage is the range of tools in one module, including a free starting tier. Look elsewhere if the network exceeds 200 students and custom pricing or Scholva’s education-focused integration does not suit your needs.
