Overview

Amego brings attendee-facing features together with tools for organizers. Attendees can use its mobile app for event schedules, networking and engagement, while Sidekick Spark adds an event-content companion to a website. Organizers manage event content, branding, communications, analytics and attendee data through Amego Admin, a web-based CMS.

Amego says its branded apps are published under each customer's own Apple and Google app store accounts. Founded in 2021, Amego identifies itself as Amego, Inc.; its About page names Scott Owens as founder and CEO.

Key features

App and engagement tools

The app supports personalized agendas, push notifications, maps, polls, surveys, Q&A and gamification. Attendees can network and arrange meetings, with messaging among the listed networking tools. Sponsor lead capture gives exhibitors a way to gather prospects through the event experience. This breadth makes Amego relevant to teams that want more than a digital agenda, though its value depends on using those engagement and sponsor functions.

AI guidance and website companion

Sidekick can nudge attendees, recommend options, help build schedules and support AI matchmaking. Beacon-aware cards can surface based on location. Sidekick Spark is a separate website companion trained on event content and embedded with one line of code, extending guidance beyond the app.

AI credits are shared across Sidekick surfaces and events. Unused credits roll over to the next contracted year, while overages are billed monthly. That shared pool can support several touchpoints, but teams with heavier AI use should account for overage charges.

Administration, integrations and safeguards

Amego Admin centralizes event content, branding, attendee experience, communications, analytics and attendee data. Integrations include RainFocus, Cvent, Swoogo, Pointr, Voxo, Wicket, Google Cloud and AWS, among others, which is useful for teams working across event and cloud systems.

Amego states that it is SOC 2 Type II audited and aligned with GDPR requirements, and that sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest with role-based access controls. It also says customer data remains the customer's, is not sold or mined, and is not used to train external models. These commitments may matter to enterprise teams handling attendee information.

Pricing

Amego has a free plan, a free trial and paid annual plans. The Spark plan is free and includes 1,000 AI credits and unlimited attendees, but is positioned for events with 50 attendees or fewer. That makes it a useful entry point for small events, not a practical guide to capacity for larger productions.

Base starts at $2,499/year, billed annually, and includes 5,000 AI credits, 500 attendees and unlimited events. It suits teams running events within that attendee ceiling that need more AI capacity than Spark. Elevate starts at $4,999/year, billed annually, and raises the allowance to 750 attendees and 10,000 AI credits, making it the more suitable tier for larger events or greater Sidekick use.

Enterprise has custom pricing and includes unlimited attendees, custom SSO, regionalized hosting and custom integrations. The separate SSO add-on also has custom pricing. These options are for organizations needing capacity or identity and hosting arrangements beyond the standard tiers.

Optional one-time purchases include Lead Scanning at $199 per device, a Branded Container App at $2,499 per app, and Amego Studio at $2,499 for app design customization. These charges sit apart from the annual plans. Standard support includes in-admin chat, help documents, community access, product updates and email support with a 24-hour response. Premier support adds on-call live event support and a stated 15-minute response time during 9am–9pm ET.

Platforms

Amego supports Android, iOS and web. Its branded apps are published under the customer's own Apple and Google app store accounts, a model that gives the customer control of app-store publishing but requires customer accounts.

Who it's for

Amego is a strong fit for event marketers, organizers, internal event teams and agencies coordinating conferences, trade shows, corporate events or global tours. Sponsors and exhibitors may benefit from lead capture, while enterprise organizations can draw on the integrations, security controls and custom Enterprise options. Small events can start with Spark; teams expecting more than 50 attendees should weigh the paid plans' attendee ceilings and costs. Organizations seeking only a basic agenda or without a need for attendee engagement, guidance or sponsor tools may find the platform more than they need.

Pros and cons

Pro: A single event experience spans app, website companion and organizer CMS, reducing the need to treat attendee guidance and content administration as separate functions.
Pro: Spark offers 1,000 AI credits at no cost, with a stated fit for events of 50 or fewer attendees.
Pro: Base and Elevate include unlimited events, with clear attendee and AI-credit allowances for teams planning multiple events.
Pro: Customer-owned app-store publishing and stated data protections address control and privacy concerns relevant to enterprise events.
Con: The free plan's small-event positioning and the paid tiers' 500- and 750-attendee limits leave larger events to custom-priced Enterprise.
Con: AI credits are pooled across events and surfaces, and monthly overage billing can make heavy use harder to budget.
Con: The branded app and design customization add-ons cost $2,499 each, increasing the expense for customers who need them.

Alternatives

Consider HEPCon if an always-free option for programmes under 50 contributions, with an offline-first agenda, source sync and personal schedule, better matches the event format. Eventee is an option for pay-per-event use, with its Essential plan covering one event, 200 attendees and three team members.

Nunify may suit teams seeking a monthly-priced alternative: its Essential plan is $24/mo, billed quarterly or annually, and includes unlimited events and registrations. For a broader event platform with a free trial of its registration product, consider Cvent. Grip Onsite is another paid event app option.

PheedLoop offers separately priced event products, including a Core Event Dashboard at $950.00 USD per month for 100–499 users. For a conference suite with a stated 500-attendee starting tier, run.events offers Essentials — Conference at €4,300.00 per year, with unlimited seats and three products. xCatalyst Event App is another paid alternative.

Verdict

Choose Amego if your event team wants a branded attendee app, website-based AI guidance and centralized event administration, especially when networking, sponsor lead capture and attendee engagement are part of the plan. Its free Spark tier gives small events a way in, while Base and Elevate set defined annual allowances. Look elsewhere if your event exceeds those paid-tier attendee limits and custom Enterprise pricing is not a fit, or if you need only a simpler event agenda.
