Overview

VectorStock advertises more than 50 million premium vectors and over 1 million free vectors, including vector, illustration and editorial assets. That scale suits teams with varied briefs, from marketing artwork to merchandise and print production. The company, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, operates as a freemium service: personal and evaluation use can start free, while commercial use requires a paid license.

The Pro License grants worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual commercial rights across client, digital, print, merchandise and print-on-demand projects, with unlimited impressions and print runs. A subscription's downloads remain usable under that license after cancellation. However, “unlimited” subscriptions are limited to 50 vector-image downloads per subscriber per day, so high-volume production houses should measure that ceiling against their output.

Key features

Discovery and file formats

AI-powered search accepts natural-language descriptions of a subject, style or composition. This is useful when a creative brief is easier to describe than reduce to keywords, particularly in a large catalog. Files are offered in Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS, PDF and SVG, covering established editing and delivery workflows.

Customization service

VectorStock can adjust colors, text, layout and other small details through a customization service. That can be more efficient than modifying an asset internally when the change is limited, although it is aimed at refinements rather than a wholly new illustration.

Licensing and safeguards

Content bought through Pay-per-Image, Credits or a Subscription cannot be used to train, develop or improve AI or machine-learning models without a separate written agreement. Checkout is handled by Paddle, VectorStock's merchant of record; connections use TLS, passwords use salted one-way hashing, and full card details are not stored by VectorStock. Support aims to answer within 24 business hours, with office hours Monday to Friday, 8AM–6PM GMT+12.

Pricing

Free and one-off options

The Free License is free and permits royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual evaluation and personal use only. Pay-per-Image is 14.99 USD per month, billed as a single payment for each vector, with a single-vector purchase, Pro License and no ongoing commitment; it suits occasional commercial needs but becomes expensive for repeated downloads. Credits cost 1.00 USD per month, with a USD $30 minimum purchase and 30-credit minimum, making them a prepaid route for buyers who prefer not to subscribe.

Exclusive Buyout costs 399.00 USD per once, paid after artist approval. It provides full ownership and removes the artwork from sale, appropriate when exclusivity matters more than catalog volume.

Subscriptions

Annual Subscription is 9.99 USD per month, billed as one upfront USD $119.88 payment. Monthly Subscription is 14.99 USD per month, billed monthly. Both include unlimited downloads subject to Fair Use, up to 50 vectors per day, and the Pro License; the annual option lowers the effective monthly price but requires the upfront commitment, while monthly billing offers more flexibility. Each plan includes one team seat, so organizations needing multiple users should account for that constraint. Both can be cancelled anytime, and subscription terms do not remove the daily cap.

Platforms

VectorStock is available on the web. Its browser-only delivery is sufficient for desktop creative workflows, but it does not provide a separately listed mobile or desktop application.

Who it's for

Designers and creative professionals get broad asset coverage and editable formats. Agencies and businesses can use the Pro License for client, marketing, print and merchandise work, while content creators can draw on the free catalog for personal or evaluative projects. Production teams downloading more than 50 vectors per subscriber per day should consider a service without this stated ceiling or plan their workload around it.

Pros and cons

Pro: More than 50 million premium and 1 million free vectors provide unusually broad choice.
Pro: AI natural-language search can shorten the path from a visual brief to candidate artwork.
Pro: AI, EPS, PDF and SVG downloads support common editing and handoff requirements.
Pro: The Pro License covers perpetual commercial use, unlimited impressions and print runs.
Con: Subscription downloads stop at 50 vectors per subscriber per day despite the unlimited-download marketing.
Con: One included team seat limits straightforward sharing for larger groups.
Con: Free licensing excludes commercial projects, so business users must budget for paid access.

Verdict
