Overview

Griply combines life planning, goal decomposition, habit support, task management, calendar views, and time blocking. The useful distinction is the chain between them: a vision can be divided into life areas, goals can contain measurable success criteria and subgoals, and those subgoals can lead to projects, habits, and individual tasks. This makes the app a stronger fit for structured personal planning than for isolated to-do capture.

Its focus is personal rather than team-oriented. Griply presents the system for people who want everyday actions and routines connected to longer-term goals, with access across desktop, mobile, and browsers.

Key features

From vision to actionable work

The Life Planner provides a place to define a long-term vision and map different areas of life. The Goal Planner then supports subgoals, success metrics, projects, tasks, and habits as steps toward that goal. This structure gives ambitious plans a practical path to execution, although it asks more setup from anyone who prefers a simple list and minimal categorisation.

Time blocking and calendars

Time blocking and calendar views are designed to arrange the week around goals instead of treating scheduling as a separate activity. Griply can show Google and Outlook Calendar events beside goal-related work in one view. Calendar sync is useful for seeing existing commitments before assigning time to projects or habits; users who do not plan by time blocks may gain less from this workflow.

Tasks, routines, and focus

Recurring tasks support repeated routines, and focus sessions provide a dedicated way to work through planned activity. Task Smart Recognition accepts plain-English entries and can capture, schedule, and assign tasks. That can make quick input more practical than filling in multiple fields manually, while the broader goal structure remains available for work that needs more planning.

Privacy and support

Griply says it does not store Google Calendar event content or metadata, instead using an encrypted OAuth access token to retrieve events in real time. It also says it uses commercially acceptable measures to protect personal information, while acknowledging that absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Support is provided by email and through its communities.

Pricing

Plan	Price and inclusions
Free	Free. Up to 2 goals, 2 habits, and 5 projects, with unlimited tasks, 9 life areas, and 3 Smart Lists.
Premium	2.49 USD per month, billed monthly. Unlimited goals and habits, calendar and time blocking, goal timeline, subgoals, and habit targets.
Premium (Year)	2.49 USD per year, billed $29.99 yearly. Adds unlimited projects and unlimited Smart Lists to the Premium feature set.
Lifetime	119.99 USD per month, billed as shown. Includes all Griply Premium features and future core updates, but excludes paid third-party integrations and future AI features.

The Free plan is suitable for trying the planning model or managing a small set of priorities, but two goals, two habits, and five projects can become restrictive for an established personal system. Premium is the practical choice for regular use when unlimited core planning objects and calendar-based scheduling matter. The yearly offer lowers the effective monthly cost when paid annually, while Lifetime makes sense only if its exclusions are acceptable and the commitment matches your usage. A 7-day trial gives prospective subscribers a short period to assess the workflow before paying.

Platforms

Griply is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web. Desktop downloads cover macOS and Windows, while mobile access includes iPhone and Android devices. This broad coverage suits people who move between a computer and phone during the day.

Who it's for

Griply is aimed at individuals who want habits and daily tasks tied to personal goals, life areas, and a longer-term vision. It is a good match for people who actively use time blocking and want external calendar commitments visible beside goal work. It is less suitable for users who need only a basic task list, or whose planning is primarily collaborative and team-based.

Pros and cons

Pros

Connects planning layers: visions, goals, projects, habits, and tasks can be managed as one progression.
Calendar-aware scheduling: Google and Outlook events can sit alongside goal work for more realistic time blocking.
Flexible access: web, desktop, Android, and iOS support planning across devices.
Fast task capture: plain-English Smart Recognition can capture, schedule, and assign tasks.

Cons

Free limits are tight: two goals, two habits, and five projects may not cover a mature planning system.
Lifetime exclusions: paid third-party integrations and future AI features are not included.
Layered workflow may feel heavy: users wanting only quick checklists may not benefit from life and goal planning.

Alternatives

FlowSavvy is a better fit when automatic scheduling is the priority, with repeating-task and scheduling-range limits on its Basic plan and a paid Pro tier.

TimeFinder suits readers seeking a cross-platform freemium planner with a free core feature set and a separate Premium Lifetime option.

Tiimo is worth considering for selected planning tools through native iOS and Android apps, although its free plan excludes the web app.

Reclaim AI is the alternative for calendar automation built around AI agents, scheduling ranges, and calendar-sync quotas.

Amie offers a freemium planner for iOS, macOS, and Windows users.

Tweek is a simpler calendar-led option, with its free plan limited to one active calendar and two custom colors.

dayGLANCE is the choice for readers who specifically want an MIT-licensed, open-source planner with broad platform support.

Routine is an alternative for users who want a free-forever plan with integrations, custom databases, and AI credits.

For a wider shortlist, see Daily Planner Apps.

Verdict

Griply is a strong choice for individuals who want long-term goals to drive habits, projects, and time-blocked daily work in one system. Its broad platform coverage, calendar integration, and goal hierarchy are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a simpler checklist, collaborative planning, or a Lifetime purchase that includes future AI and paid third-party integrations.
