Overview

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, VEED combines idea-to-video generation with conventional editing. A prompt or concept can become a post-ready video with captions, music, and pacing oriented to a chosen platform. Editors can then cut, join, compress, convert, remove backgrounds, and adjust text and audio without moving to another service.

Because the tools run in a browser, VEED suits people who prefer not to install software. Android and iOS apps support exporting as well, although there is no desktop app. The service is freemium, with paid plans starting at $9/mo when billed annually.

Key features

Generation and editing

AI generation is aimed at producing a publishable starting point rather than replacing every editorial decision. Captions, music, and platform-oriented pacing help accelerate short-form production, while the listed editing tools cover the routine fixes and format changes that follow. Background removal and text and audio editing add practical control for branded content.

Subtitles, translation and branding

Subtitle creation and translation into more than 100 languages make VEED a practical choice for adapting one video to international audiences. Logos, colors, and fonts can be applied alongside text edits, helping recurring content retain a consistent visual identity.

Teams, integrations and security

Shared workspaces, review mode, and comments and feedback support collaborative approval, particularly in the higher-end plans. VEED also offers developer APIs for image-to-video generation, lip sync, subtitles, and background removal, which is relevant when video functions must be embedded in an existing product.

VEED says data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. It cites GDPR and CPPA compliance and European Standard Contractual Clauses for Enterprise data-processing agreements; Enterprise customers can also raise security-requirement enquiries.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it means
Free	Free	720p exports only, with a watermark. Best for evaluating the editor or sharing low-stakes drafts, not finished client work.
Creator	Custom pricing	Exports up to 1080p and removes the watermark. A sensible step for individual creators who need presentable output without 4K.
Pro	Custom pricing	Exports up to 4K. It fits users whose delivery requirements make 1080p insufficient.
Studio	Custom pricing	4K exports with a small-team focus, making it more appropriate when work and review are shared.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	4K exports and the full toolset and collaboration features for organizations with broader production and security needs.

The published entry point is $9/mo on annual billing, while the individual plan prices above are custom pricing. Check the export requirement first: moving from Free to Creator removes the watermark, while Pro and above are the tiers identified for 4K.

Platforms

VEED is available on the web, Android, iOS, and as an extension. Its browser editor avoids a desktop installation, and exports work on the web and in the mobile apps. There is no desktop application, so users seeking a native desktop workflow should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

VEED is a good fit for social creators, marketing teams, and organizations producing branded videos in multiple languages. It is especially useful when generation, editing, subtitles, translation, and approval need to stay together. The Free plan suits experimentation and drafts; Creator suits individual publishing; Pro suits 4K delivery; Studio and Enterprise suit collaborative or organization-wide workflows.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad browser workflow: generation, editing, subtitles, translation, branding, and export are combined in one service.
Multilingual support: translation into more than 100 languages helps reuse content across audiences.
Scalable collaboration: shared workspaces, review mode, and comments support team approval.
Integration path: APIs cover image-to-video, lip sync, subtitles, and background removal.
4K availability: Pro, Studio, and Enterprise plans support higher-resolution delivery.

Cons

Free output is restricted: 720p and a watermark limit professional use.
No desktop app: native desktop-editor workflows are not supported.
Higher tiers require custom pricing: budgeting is less transparent than the annual entry price suggests.

Alternatives

For a focused lip-sync API rather than a broad editor, consider CHAMELAION LipSync API, which has a free tier with 24,000 tokens and two minutes of video translation and lip sync, plus a €5 monthly Basic plan. LipDub is another API/web option if a free one-minute, 1080p tier covering AI dubbing, voice cloning, and lip sync is enough, with Core at $29 per month.

Sync Labs suits limited experimentation with three free generations per month and a 20-second maximum per generation. Choose Morph Studio instead for web-based text/image-to-video and style transfer, starting with 75 monthly credits. lipsyn.cc is a focused paid lip-sync service with a five-second preview and a $6.99 one-off Quick Take for five minutes.

For self-hosted or open-source work, Muse, Avatar², and LatentSync are free options with different audio, avatar, and lip-sync purposes. For broader category browsing, see Video Editing Software, AI Video Editing Software, Video Ad Maker Software, Video Collage Maker Software, AI Video Lip Sync Tools, and AI Podcast Editing Software.

Verdict

Choose VEED if you want one browser-first workspace for generating, editing, subtitling, translating, branding, and reviewing video, with a route to 4K and team collaboration. Look elsewhere if a watermark-free free tier, fully transparent higher-plan pricing, or a dedicated desktop application is your priority.
