Overview

Sonalyx’s agents handle inbound and outbound calls, interpret speech and intent, and can reason against rules, access systems and execute actions. They can then confirm outcomes by SMS, WhatsApp or email, or escalate to a human. That makes Sonalyx a stronger fit for calls tied to business processes than for a voice agent limited to answering questions.

Conversation handling includes turn-taking, interruptions, context and background noise. Support for more than 50 languages, including switching languages during a call, may help teams serving multilingual customers. The Free plan’s 20 minutes and single concurrent call are useful for a small initial check, but not for judging capacity under sustained traffic.

Key features

Actions and integrations: Sonalyx lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, SAP, Zendesk, Intercom, Zoho, Shopify, Twilio, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Calendly, Zapier and its own API. That range is relevant to teams whose calls need to move between customer records, commerce, scheduling and communications tools.
Security and audit: The platform describes encryption in transit and at rest, isolated tenants, secret management, consent capture, retention policies, redaction and right-to-erasure flows. EU-based hosting is the default, with regional options; actions, system calls and configuration changes are recorded and exportable. These controls matter to teams with data-handling and audit needs.
Deployment and telephony: Customers can use their own carrier and phone numbers or Sonalyx’s, with SIP failover, REST, webhooks, and VPC or on-premise deployment where required. This flexibility suits organizations with existing telephony or infrastructure requirements, though the breadth may be unnecessary for a small team seeking a simple phone assistant.
Support and launch: Professional includes standard support, while Enterprise adds dedicated support and a manager. Sonalyx says an enterprise pilot can be live in seven days and a working demo agent based on a prospect’s content is usually provided within one working day, a useful way to assess fit before a larger deployment.

Pricing

Sonalyx uses a freemium model, with prepaid usage billed by actual conversation time. The Free plan costs 0.00 EUR per free and includes 20 free minutes, one concurrent call, an international number and no credit-card requirement. It is a low-friction starting point, but the tiny minute allowance and concurrency limit make it unsuitable for a real workload.

Starter costs 200.00 EUR per once and includes 400 survey minutes, prepaid usage at €0.50/min, full platform access, no commitment, up to 10 concurrent calls, national numbers and a “Powered by Sonalyx” logo. It offers a modest way to move beyond the free cap, but the included minutes are a bundle rather than a recurring monthly allowance.

Professional costs 1200.00 EUR per once and includes 3,000 survey minutes, prepaid usage at €0.40/min, standard support, user management, custom reports, up to 25 concurrent calls and local numbers. The lower per-minute rate and management tools better suit a team with repeat usage, though the one-time stated price and prepaid structure still require planning around consumption.

Enterprise has custom pricing for 10K to 10M minutes, with discounts up to 60%, volume discounts, brand customization, no “Powered by Sonalyx” branding, dedicated support and a manager, and up to 100,000 concurrent calls. It is the clear tier for high-volume or branded deployments, but teams must request a quote to assess total cost.

The pricing page also gives a generic allowance of 400 min/mo; the plan-specific minute bundles and prepaid terms should guide budgeting rather than assuming that figure applies uniformly.

Platforms

Sonalyx is available via API, self-hosted deployment and web. The self-hosted and VPC or on-premise options give infrastructure-conscious teams more control than a web-only service, while API access supports integration into existing software.

Who it's for

Sonalyx fits organizations handling inbound and outbound calls for customer care, technical support, sales, bookings, collections, surveys or research, particularly when calls must update systems or trigger follow-up confirmations. Multilingual teams and businesses that need human escalation, regional hosting options or auditable system actions have a stronger case for it. A small business with occasional calls, or a buyer seeking predictable monthly pricing and high free usage, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Calls can execute actions across a broad integration set and confirm them through messaging, connecting voice automation to operational follow-through.
Pro: More than 50 languages and mid-call switching support multilingual call flows.
Pro: Carrier choice, SIP failover, self-hosting and VPC or on-premise options offer flexibility for established deployments.
Con: Free access is capped at 20 minutes and one concurrent call, limiting meaningful evaluation of business-scale traffic.
Con: Starter and Professional are prepaid one-time purchases, so buyers need to manage minute consumption and plan bundles rather than a simple monthly seat allowance.
Con: Enterprise pricing requires a quote, making cost comparison less immediate for larger buyers.

Alternatives

Voicebot Software is a broader category directory for comparing voicebot options.

Chatbyte is a better fit for teams seeking a web chatbot: its Essential plan is 45.00 USD per month, with 100 conversations/month, one AI chatbot and 15 MB of knowledge content, rather than Sonalyx’s phone-call workflow.
Mujib is worth considering when a team wants voice or chat channels including SIP/PBX, web widget and WhatsApp; its voice-only and chat-only pricing is quoted per account.
SoundHound is the alternative for a personal mobile assistant: its free app is ad-supported and its ad-free SoundHound∞ option costs 6.99 USD per once.
telli is another paid platform with a free trial.
Yellow.ai offers a free plan with one AI agent, 500/month included, a two-agent limit, 1,000 records and one active campaign, making it worth comparing for teams evaluating a capped free agent platform.
Dialzara is a simpler paid option to compare for small business phone handling: Business Lite costs 29.00 USD per month for 60 minutes, with $0.48/minute overage; it has a free trial but no free plan.
Haptik is another enterprise option with pricing not published and a demo request process.
My AI Front Desk suits buyers comparing voice and chatbot allowances in a monthly bundle: Business-in-a-Box costs 99.00 USD per month billed monthly, or $79/mo billed annually, and includes 200 voice minutes/month, 100 chatbot conversations/month and 400 SMS/month.

Verdict

Choose Sonalyx if your team needs phone agents to act inside business systems, support multilingual calls and fit into existing telephony or deployment arrangements. The end-to-end call workflow and operational controls are its strongest case. Look elsewhere if you need generous free usage or straightforward recurring pricing: its small free cap and prepaid minute bundles make cost and capacity planning central to the decision.
