Overview

Backloggr is a game collection and play-tracking app that brings library management, progress statistics, discovery, and community features together. It suits players who want one record across multiple gaming accounts, particularly those using Apple devices. Its breadth is useful, but the unfinished privacy policy is a significant reason to pause before connecting accounts.

Key features

The catalog contains more than 350,000 games across 250+ platforms. Automatic library syncing covers PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, with Nintendo Switch importing also described in the App Store listing. Manual entry for physical copies and indie games helps players keep a fuller collection when imports do not cover it.

Backloggr tracks collection size, completion rate, backlog depth, hours played, and a backlog score, then offers a Year in Review. That range makes it more useful for managing a large library than a simple ownership list, though players who only want an achievement record may find the broader tracking unnecessary.

Discovery tools show games trending with the community, release countdowns for wishlisted titles, and fresh releases sorted by hype. The app also combines Steam achievements, PlayStation trophies, and Xbox Gamerscore in one dashboard. Reviews, public lists, follows, comments, direct messages, badges, and a community feed make it a social space as well as a personal tracker.

Account connections are described as read-only and used solely to build and sync the library, a useful safeguard. However, Backloggr’s privacy policy calls itself a placeholder and says it still needs actual processing and controller details. That gap makes it difficult for privacy-conscious players to assess what happens to account-related data. The policy also says the marketing site uses no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no third-party analytics or fonts; that statement does not fill in the missing processing details.

Pricing

The Free plan is free and includes library import, game tracking, trophies, and backlog tracking. It covers the core use case without a paid commitment, making it the sensible starting point for players who want to organize and follow their games.

Backloggr Pro (Monthly) costs 2.99 USD per month, while Backloggr Pro Annual costs 8.99 USD per year. Both add extra customization and advanced features. The annual option has a lower stated price than paying the monthly rate for a full year, while monthly is the more flexible choice for a short-term upgrade. Backloggr Pro Lifetime costs 14.99 USD per once and offers the same stated additions without a recurring term. The paid-plan descriptions do not spell out which advanced features are included, so buyers should weigh that uncertainty against the free plan’s defined core functions.

Platforms

Backloggr is available on iOS and macOS. The App Store listing describes an iPhone and iPad app requiring iOS 17.6 or later or iPadOS 17.6 or later. Players who need Android or web access should look elsewhere; this is an Apple-platform choice.

Who it's for

Backloggr is best for Apple users who want library syncing across supported console and PC accounts, detailed backlog and play statistics, and achievements in the same place. Its manual collection tools also suit players with physical or indie games to track. It is a weaker fit for people who need Android or web access, want only a narrow trophy tracker, or are unwilling to connect accounts while the privacy policy remains incomplete.

Pros and cons

Pro: A catalog of more than 350,000 games across 250+ platforms, plus automatic imports and manual entry, supports a broad, consolidated collection.
Pro: Backlog depth, completion, playtime, and Year in Review give players several ways to understand and manage their habits.
Pro: Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox achievement data share a dashboard, with community features for players who want to discuss and share lists.
Con: The privacy policy is explicitly unfinished, limiting confidence about how connected-account data is processed.
Con: Access is limited to Apple platforms, excluding players who want Android or browser use.
Con: Pro plans promise extra customization and advanced features without naming those additions, making the upgrade harder to evaluate.

Verdict

Choose Backloggr if you use Apple devices and want collection management, backlog analytics, account syncing, and cross-platform achievement tracking in one app. Its free plan covers the core features, and paid tiers offer an inexpensive path to extra customization and advanced tools. Look elsewhere if you need Android or web access, or if you are not comfortable linking accounts while the privacy policy remains a placeholder.
