Railsr combines wallets and accounts, debit, prepaid, credit and virtual cards, transfers and rewards. Its APIs are designed to put these services inside a brand’s digital journey while keeping Railsr behind the scenes. The platform also brings close to 100 integrations together under one API and commercial agreement, a useful proposition for businesses that would otherwise have to coordinate multiple connections.

The commercial and regulated relationships are separate: customers contract with Railsr for technology services and its wholly owned subsidiary PayrNet for regulated services. Railsr identifies itself as the trading name of Embedded Finance Ltd, which acquired PayrNet Ltd in March 2023. PayrNet holds a UK electronic money institution licence, number 900594, and lists Visa and Mastercard principal issuing licences for the UK and Europe, UK Faster Payments and Bacs direct participation, indirect SEPA membership, and SUPE grade SWIFT membership. Prospective customers should account for the two-party arrangement when assessing the service.

Railsr says it cannot onboard new agents or distributors without prior written FCA consent. That makes the platform unsuitable for a business whose proposed route to market depends on either role unless it can satisfy that condition.

Launch: Custom pricing. It provides a live API restricted to one country or region, making it the narrower option for a geographically focused launch.
Prototype: Custom pricing. It provides a live API but restricts virtual cards and end-user numbers, so it is a better fit for a constrained early-stage build than a programme that needs those capabilities without limits.

Railsr supports API and web access. Its supported regions include the UK, Europe, France, Lithuania, Poland and Malaysia. The country and product restrictions on individual plans still matter: broad regional support does not mean every live tier enables every market.
