Overview

Beds24 brings booking, distribution and property tasks together. Providers can take commission-free direct bookings through a customizable, mobile-friendly page, while staff handle housekeeping, guest management, room assignments and front-desk functions. That span can suit a property looking to centralize several workflows; operators focused only on distribution may find the wider operating system unnecessary.

The service is made by Beds24, a company founded in 2005 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Its terms restrict use to commercial customers, ruling it out for consumers managing a property for private purposes. Beds24 guarantees 99% average service availability annually, excluding agreed maintenance periods.

Key features

Bookings and distribution

The booking engine supports commission-free reservations on a mobile-friendly page that operators can customize. For external distribution, the channel manager uses two-way XML connections to export inventory and prices and import bookings; iCal synchronization is also available. The two-way exchange is useful for keeping availability and rates moving between connected channels, but its separate pricing means it should be included in any realistic budget.

Property operations and integrations

Housekeeping, guest management, room assignment and front-desk functions extend Beds24 beyond reservation handling. The integration marketplace covers accounting, business intelligence, compliance, distribution, guest experience and property operations. That range may help connect the system to a broader operating stack, though integrations are priced separately on the entry hostel plan.

Mobile access, API and safeguards

The iOS and Android apps cover bookings, arrivals and departures, availability, and Airbnb and Booking.com messages, giving staff mobile access to common operational work. API V2 supports third-party access to accounts, properties, bookings and inventory, with read-only and read/write token options; that flexibility is more relevant to operators building or connecting systems than to small properties with no integration needs.

Beds24 says it uses 256-bit SSL encryption and regular backups, and describes itself as a SaaS data processor compliant with GDPR. Its listed support includes ticket support, forum access, self-onboarding tools and regular webinars. Personal onboarding and online training are optional, so teams wanting guided setup should account for those as add-ons.

Pricing

Beds24 is paid, with a stated starting point of €15.50/mo. The specified Basic monthly fee for a hostel with one dorm and one bed costs 15.90 EUR per month, billed monthly, on a pay-as-you-go basis with no minimum term. It includes one dorm and one bed, while the channel manager and integrations are priced separately. That low-capacity configuration may suit a small hostel testing a basic setup, but it is not a like-for-like price for operators who need channel connections or marketplace integrations.

There is no free plan, but a free trial is available. Ticket support, forum access, self-onboarding resources and webinars are included in the pricing information; personal onboarding and online training are optional. The monthly billing and absence of a minimum term limit commitment, while the separately charged components make the eventual cost depend on the configuration.

Platforms

Beds24 is available on the web, Android and iOS, with API access for third-party integrations. The combination supports office-based configuration, mobile work and custom connections, rather than restricting operations to a single interface.

Who it's for

Beds24 is a strong fit for commercial accommodation providers that need direct booking, channel exchange and property workflows in one cloud system, especially teams that can make use of its mobile apps or API. It is less suitable for private hosts, who are excluded by its commercial-use terms, and for buyers seeking a clearly bundled channel-management price or a free ongoing tier.

Pros and cons

Broad operational coverage: Direct booking, distribution, housekeeping, guest management and front-desk functions sit within one service, which can reduce tool fragmentation.
Useful distribution options: Two-way XML exchange and iCal synchronization give operators more than one route to channel connections.
Mobile and API access: Staff can manage key booking tasks on iOS and Android, while API V2 offers read-only and read/write access for third-party work.
Entry price has exclusions: The 15.90 EUR monthly hostel plan covers one dorm and one bed but charges separately for channel management and integrations.
No private-use option: The commercial-only terms make Beds24 unsuitable for consumers managing a personal property.
Guided help costs extra: Personal onboarding and online training are optional rather than included with the listed support resources.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, start with Hotel Channel Management or Vacation Rental Channel Manager Software if distribution is the main requirement. Vacation Rental Website Builders is relevant when the priority is a rental website, while Short-Term Rental Management Software and Property Management Software offer category comparisons for operators weighing broader management needs.

Vertical Booking is another paid option with Android, iOS, web and API support. CultSwitch is worth considering for a channel-manager focus; its pricing is commission-based, with the amount unstated. RateTiger Channel Manager is a paid web option. Cloudbeds Channel Manager offers paid Flex and One plans, with the channel-manager partner separate on Flex. Oracle Payments Cloud Service is a paid web alternative centered on fixed-rate payment processing. AxisRooms Channel Manager has a Basic plan with five OTA channels and limited users, and a Pro plan with unlimited OTAs and users plus a PMS interface. eZee Centrix offers a Principal plan focused on channel management, OTA connections and inventory distribution. Octorate offers a Pro plan combining a channel manager, booking engine, PMS cloud, web concierge AI, metasearch and 7/7 support.

Verdict

Choose Beds24 if you run commercial accommodation and want direct reservations, channel distribution and property operations connected in one system, with mobile and API access to support different workflows. Its main advantage is that breadth; its main reason to look elsewhere is the separately priced channel manager and integrations, which make the modest hostel entry plan an incomplete measure of the cost for operators who need those capabilities.
