Overview

Tana’s focus is the work that follows a meeting: its agents can propose filing an issue, drafting an email, updating a CRM, or logging a decision while the call is underway. A person can accept, edit, or dismiss each proposal before it changes a connected system. That review step gives teams oversight of consequential actions, though it means follow-up is not fully hands-off.

Calls are captured locally from the user’s computer, so a bot does not appear as a participant in Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet. That approach may suit teams that prefer not to add a visible meeting attendee. Tana also offers desktop apps for Mac, Windows, and Linux, as well as web access.

Key features

Meeting actions under human control

Rather than stopping at meeting notes, Tana proposes practical next steps across issues, email, CRM updates, and decisions. The person-in-the-loop design helps prevent an unreviewed agent action from becoming an unintended change. Teams looking for automatic execution without a review step may find this workflow slower.

Integrations and developer access

Tana’s integrations include Google Calendar and Outlook for scheduling, GitHub, Linear, and Jira for development work, Slack, HubSpot, and Pipedrive, plus Claude, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, and MCP. Its MCP server and API let tools and agents read and write a workspace, with proposals reviewed in the same way as Tana’s built-in AI. That breadth is useful for teams whose meeting follow-up spans several systems; the benefit depends on whether those integrations match their existing stack.

Security and data control

Tana says it has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination and is GDPR compliant, with HIPAA in progress. Its privacy policy says user content is not used to train, improve, or develop AI models unless Tana gives advance notice and an opportunity to opt out. Users retain access to their data after downgrading or cancelling and can export it to other systems. These policies and controls may help teams assess fit, while Business adds SAML SSO, audit logs, advanced controls, and custom data terms.

Pricing

Tana uses a freemium model, with paid plans starting at 30 USD per user/month and a 30-day trial. The Free plan is free and allows 5 meetings per month, 1 calendar, and 50 AI queries. That is enough to explore the workflow, but the meeting and query caps may constrain regular use.

Pro costs 2030.00 USD per month, billed per user/month at an early bird rate. It includes 20× more AI than Free, unlimited hosted meetings, a botless Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet agent, integrations, and full MCP. It is aimed at individuals or teams that need recurring meeting coverage and connected workflows; the per-user billing makes seat count relevant to the total cost.

Max costs 80120.00 USD per month, billed per user/month at an early bird rate. It provides 5× more AI than Pro, dedicated support and onboarding, unlimited agents, skills, and types, plus integration support. The extra capacity and assistance suit heavier or more complex deployments, but may be unnecessary for users who only need standard meeting actions.

Business has custom pricing and is billed yearly. It adds SAML SSO, advanced security and controls, audit logs, and custom DPA and data residency or retention policy control. Those features target organizations with administrative and data-handling requirements; the annual term is a meaningful commitment.

Platforms

Tana is available on Linux, macOS, Windows, and the web. It has no mobile apps, so users who need to review or manage meeting actions from a phone will need another workflow.

Who it's for

Tana is aimed at product and technology teams, consultants and advisors, investors, creatives, founders, customer success, and sales. It is a stronger fit when meetings generate work across calendars, task systems, email, or CRM tools, and when a person should approve each change. Its free tier offers a way to assess that process before paying. Teams that need mobile access or routinely exceed five monthly meetings may find the free plan or platform coverage limiting.
