Overview

Blerp is a soundboard and streaming toolkit for creators who want to trigger audio, alerts, and audience interactions across broadcasts and chats. It is strongest for streamers building a sound-led, interactive channel; people who need only a simple offline soundboard may find its broader creator focus unnecessary.

Its mix of a large community sound library and streaming features makes it more than a clip launcher. The trade-off is that the copyright assurance is limited: only sounds marked reviewed by Blerp’s team are guaranteed DMCA safe.

Key features

Sound library and playback

Blerp’s library contains more than one million user-created sounds. Users can browse, upload audio, or create sounds from Twitch and YouTube clips. Multiple soundboards and hotkey triggering help keep effects ready during a live session, though the size of the library does not itself establish that every clip is appropriate for public use.

Streaming toolkit and moderation

Sound alerts, video alerts, overlays, channel points, and subathon timers give creators several ways to make a broadcast interactive. Blerp also offers more than 500 text-to-speech voices, with an approval queue and word censorship. Those moderation controls are useful when viewers can submit spoken messages, but creators still need to manage the queue and settings.

Blerp lists Twitch, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, and other streaming platforms as integrations. Its Twitch tools allow more than 50 Channel Reward sounds and unlimited Bits rewards, but some features require Affiliate status, so not every channel can use the full set.

Access and trust

The browser extension supports Chrome, Edge, and Brave. Blerp HUD is offered for Mac, Windows 10 or 11, and Linux beta, with Linux AppImage downloads for x64 and ARM64. Blerp says it does not sell or monetize user data; Beets payments use PayPal infrastructure powered by Braintree.

Pricing

Blerp uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a free trial of Blerp Unlimited. The TTS Free plan costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/mo) and includes the 500+ voice library, basic voice filters, a moderation queue, and word censorship. It is a sensible starting point for creators focused on TTS, but it is not the full alert-builder subscription.

Blerp Unlimited — 2-Year costs 4.99 USD per month, billed $119.76 every 2 years. Blerp Unlimited — Annual costs 5.99 USD per month, billed $71.88 annually. Blerp Unlimited — Monthly costs 10.99 USD per month, billed monthly. All three include the full Blerp alert builder and subscription feature set. The longer commitments lower the monthly rate but require paying for a longer billing period; monthly billing costs more per month and avoids that longer commitment.

Blerp Unlimited has a seven-day trial, and subscribers can cancel anytime through their profile. The plans do not state seat counts or usage quotas.

Platforms

Blerp lists Android, iOS, web, browser extension, Linux, macOS, and Windows support. Its extension works with Chrome, Edge, and Brave, while Blerp HUD covers Mac, Windows 10 or 11, and Linux beta. The listed platform range suits creators moving between devices, but Linux desktop support is explicitly beta.

Who it's for

Blerp is best suited to streamers and content creators who want a sizable sound library alongside alerts, TTS, overlays, channel rewards, and other audience-facing tools. The free TTS tier is a useful entry point for creators who want moderated spoken messages without starting with Unlimited. It is less compelling for someone seeking only a basic soundboard or who needs every sound to carry a DMCA-safety guarantee.

Pros and cons

Pros: More than one million community sounds, plus upload and clip-creation options, give streamers a broad source of audio.
Pros: TTS moderation includes an approval queue and word censorship, providing controls over viewer-submitted messages.
Pros: Unlimited Bits rewards and more than 50 Channel Reward sounds can support varied Twitch interactions, subject to Affiliate requirements for some features.
Cons: DMCA safety is guaranteed only for sounds reviewed by Blerp’s team, so users should not assume the whole library is cleared.
Cons: Unlimited’s lowest monthly equivalent requires a two-year billing commitment; the monthly option costs more per month.
Cons: Some Twitch features require Affiliate status, which limits their usefulness to channels that do not qualify.

Alternatives

Soundboard Software is a broader category directory for comparing soundboard options.

Choose SoundTools Soundboard if a free soundboard across mobile, desktop, and web matters more than Blerp’s streaming toolkit: its free plan says there are no limits, account requirement, install, or watermarks.

Sound Show is another soundboard option with a free tier and a paid Pro plan.

Consider Voicemod AI Voice Cleaner if you want a free AI voice cleaner rather than Blerp’s sound library and stream alerts.

Soundboard Online may suit users who want a web-only option with a free-forever plan and no cap on rooms, clips, or sessions.

Choose Soundplant if you prefer a one-time purchase for Mac or Windows: its single-user license costs 69.00 USD and lasts for the version purchased, with two years of free upgrades.

Stadium Sound is a free, open-source soundboard option for Mac, web, and Windows.

Jingle Palette is a free Windows option if a palette-based jingle board with up to 30 jingles is enough.

LitPads may fit Apple users who want a free forever plan with six boards and 20 pads per board, or an unlimited one-time Pro plan.

Verdict

Choose Blerp if you stream and want a broad sound library, moderated TTS, and audience-interaction tools in one service. Its strongest case is the combination of creator features and flexible sound playback; look elsewhere if you need a straightforward soundboard, or require DMCA assurance beyond clips specifically reviewed by Blerp.
