Overview

BlizCast brings live audio and video into Shekinex, a church platform. It covers the broadcast itself as well as transcripts, saved episodes, and a website player, making it a stronger fit for churches seeking a recurring service workflow than for users who only need a basic place to host video. Its close connection to Shekinex is also a constraint: broadcasting access is described differently across the product and pricing pages.

Key features

Live audio and produced video

Radio offers one-click live audio over WebRTC, which BlizCast describes as sub-second latency. TV supports Full HD, adaptive bitrate, AI scene detection, automatic chapter markers, and multi-camera switching. That combination gives churches room to produce a more polished service and offer audio as well as video. It may be unnecessary for a congregation that streams only occasionally with a single camera.

Control, transcripts, and archives

The browser-based control room lets operators switch camera angles, screen shares, and pre-recorded inserts. Audio broadcasts are automatically turned into searchable show notes with scripture references and key moments, while radio and TV broadcasts are saved as on-demand episodes. These features make past services easier to revisit and search, rather than leaving viewers with only a live event.

Embedding and audience insight

A one-line code embed puts the live player on a church website, and real-time geographic insights show where viewers and listeners are tuning in. The embed is useful for churches that want audiences to watch on their own site; geographic reporting adds a view of audience reach, though it does not by itself explain why people are tuning in.

Pricing

BlizCast is offered through Shekinex plans. The product page says every Shekinex plan includes Radio and TV, while the pricing page names BlizCast Live only with Harvest. Treat plan eligibility as a purchasing question, especially if considering a lower tier.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Grace	Free	Free forever; up to 50 members and the pastor as sole admin.	A small church testing Shekinex without a subscription, provided its member and admin limits are sufficient.
Shepherd	15.00 USD per month	Up to 200 members, 5 staff, and 2 branches. Cancel anytime.	A growing congregation that needs more staff and branch capacity than Grace; confirm whether it includes BlizCast.
Harvest	35.00 USD per month	Up to 1,000 members, 15 staff, 5 branches, and BlizCast Live. Cancel anytime.	A larger church that wants the named broadcasting inclusion as well as greater organizational capacity.
Kingdom	55.00 USD per month	Unlimited members, staff, and branches; API integrations and priority support. Cancel anytime.	A church that needs unlimited organizational capacity and priority support.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Everything in Kingdom, plus HQ view, consolidated reporting, a dedicated account manager, SLA, onboarding, training, and custom integrations.	Organizations that need central oversight, tailored integrations, and enterprise support.

Grace is free forever but limits administration to the pastor and caps membership at 50. Shepherd costs $15.00 USD per month and increases those limits, but does not name BlizCast Live among its inclusions. Harvest is the first plan that the pricing page explicitly associates with broadcasting. Kingdom costs $55.00 USD per month for unlimited church-management capacity and priority support; Enterprise shifts to custom pricing for added oversight and service commitments. A 14-day trial is offered. The stated prices for paid plans are monthly, with cancellation at any time.

Platforms

BlizCast is a web platform. Its browser-based control room supports production from a browser, and mobile streaming is offered, but the platform is not identified as a separate mobile app.

Who it's for

BlizCast makes the most sense for churches that want live services and prayer meetings, searchable sermon material, and an on-demand archive in one Shekinex-connected workflow. Harvest is the clearest fit when broadcasting access is the deciding factor; smaller churches may prefer Grace or Shepherd for their lower member and staff needs, but should confirm streaming inclusion first. Churches looking for a standalone streaming product, or with no need for Shekinex’s church-management plans, should compare dedicated alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Audio and video broadcasting, transcription, and saved episodes cover both live services and later discovery.
Pros: The browser control room supports camera switching, screen shares, and pre-recorded inserts without requiring a separate production workflow.
Pros: A website embed and geographic audience insights help churches distribute and understand their broadcasts.
Cons: Broadcasting inclusion is described inconsistently, making it harder to choose a lower Shekinex plan with confidence.
Cons: The member, staff, and branch caps on Grace, Shepherd, and Harvest may not suit churches that need more room without moving to Kingdom.
Cons: Churches that need only an occasional simple stream may not benefit from the production and archive toolkit.

Alternatives

Church Streaming Software is a useful starting point for comparing services built for church broadcasting.

Castream is worth considering for a multi-destination streaming workflow; its free plan supports two simultaneous destinations but limits sessions to five minutes and includes a watermark.
Restream is a fit for broader channel distribution, with a free plan that supports two channels at once and adds Restream branding.
Shekinex is the direct choice for churches prioritizing member, staff, and branch management; it is the platform BlizCast is built into.
BoxCast is an alternative for buyers seeking a paid streaming service with a published Standard plan at $109.00 USD per month billed annually or $119.00 USD per month billed monthly.
Vimeo is an option for users who want a broader video platform, with a free plan limited to one seat and 1 GB of storage.
Gotedo Streams is another church-oriented option with a free tier for one administrator and up to 100 members.
Livepush suits users who value broad simultaneous distribution: its free plan allows up to 10 platforms at once, capped at 20 streaming hours per month.
OneStream Live is an alternative for multistreaming, with a free plan that allows two destinations, 720p, one team seat, and 1 GB of storage.

Verdict

Choose BlizCast if your church wants live audio and video, searchable sermon notes, and an on-demand archive within Shekinex. Its strongest case is the breadth of the church-focused broadcast workflow; its main drawback is the uncertainty over which plans include it. Confirm access before selecting a lower tier, or look elsewhere if you need a standalone streaming service or a clearly defined plan entitlement.
