Overview

Bluedot captures meetings without a bot joining the call, then transcribes and summarizes them. Searchable records, speaker identification, action items and AI summaries make it useful for turning conversations into material people can review later, rather than relying on memory or scattered notes.

It covers Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, phone calls and in-person meetings. Transcription and summaries support more than 100 languages. Users can ask its AI chat questions across multiple meetings, share conversations by link, comment on key moments and clip highlights. Exports include PDF, TXT, plain text, Microsoft Word, Google Docs and Google Drive.

Key features

Bot-free capture: Recording without a bot participant is a practical advantage for users who prefer not to add another presence to a call.
Search and cross-meeting recall: Searchable transcripts and summaries are complemented by AI chat across multiple conversations. This is more useful for finding patterns or recalling past discussions than for a single meeting alone.
Capture and integrations: Capture methods include a Chrome extension, Mac and Windows desktop apps, and iOS and Android apps. Integrations include Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Meet, HubSpot, Make, MCP, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Outlook, Salesforce, Slack, webhooks, Zapier and Zoom.
Security controls: Bluedot states that its controls are SOC 2 Type II audited and its data practices are GDPR-compliant. It says customer data is not used to train AI models and is encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 and TLS. Support for DPAs, standard contractual clauses, SSO, SAML, SCIM and configurable retention makes the product better suited to organizations with formal controls to manage.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows five meetings over the account’s lifetime. Members can keep viewing and sharing recordings afterward, but must upgrade for more recording and transcription. That cap makes it a way to assess the workflow, not a durable free tier. A 3-day trial is also available.

Basic costs 14.00 USD per month billed annually, or 18.00 USD per month on monthly billing, per user. It includes unlimited audio-only meetings and storage, webhooks and MCP integration, but each recording is limited to one hour. It suits users who do not need video capture or longer sessions.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month billed annually, or 25.00 USD per month on monthly billing, per user. It adds unlimited meetings with video, unlimited recording duration, custom note templates, and Zoom and Google Drive imports. For regular video meetings or longer recordings, this is the more complete individual plan.

Business costs 32.00 USD per month billed annually, or 39.00 USD per month on monthly billing, per user. It adds CRM and ATS integrations, advanced admin controls, SSO and SCIM, custom data retention, organization-wide MCP and webhooks, and unlimited audio and video imports. Those controls make the higher price relevant for managed teams, not occasional individual use. A flat-rate company option has custom pricing.

On cancellation, subscribers lose access to recordings, have one month to restore the subscription, and recordings are permanently deleted afterward. Anyone relying on Bluedot as an archive should treat that retention window as a material plan term.

Platforms

Bluedot supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web and browser extension use. Its desktop page specifies macOS 12.3 or later on Apple Silicon, and Windows 10 or later.

Who it's for

Bluedot is a strong fit for people and teams who need searchable records across many conversations, especially when bot-free capture and cross-meeting recall matter. The Free plan's lifetime meeting cap and Basic's one-hour, audio-only limit make them poor choices for sustained video-heavy use. Organizations needing SSO, SCIM or custom retention should consider Business; users who only need a few recorded meetings may not need a paid plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: Bot-free capture spans online calls, phone calls and in-person meetings, avoiding a separate bot participant.
Pro: Search, sharing, comments, clips and AI chat across meetings support both quick retrieval and deeper review.
Pro: Broad language support and integrations connect meeting records to common work tools.
Con: Five lifetime meetings on Free is too restrictive for ongoing use.
Con: Basic is audio-only and capped at one hour per recording, so frequent video or longer meetings require Pro.
Con: Canceled subscribers risk permanent recording deletion after the one-month restoration window, making it unsuitable as a set-and-forget archive.

Alternatives

Compare Bluedot with Meeting Transcription Software, Meeting Recording Software and AI Meeting Assistants if you want to weigh it against more tools in those categories.

Circleback is another freemium choice with AI meeting notes, action items and online and in-person meeting support; consider it if those capabilities and limited automations meet your needs.
Grain offers a free plan with one notetaker seat, 45-minute meetings and 20 bot-recorded meetings for personal email users; it may suit someone whose usage fits those caps.
MeetGeek has a free tier with three transcription hours per month and three months of transcript storage, a clearer fit for modest monthly volume.
Notta provides one free seat and 120 transcription minutes per month, useful for trying a minutes-based allowance.
Laxis offers 300 free transcription minutes per month, 30 days of conversation history and a 45-minute recording maximum for readers who can work within those limits.
Read AI has a free plan for five meetings per month and support for 20+ languages; consider it if that monthly allowance fits better than Bluedot’s lifetime cap.
Colibri.ai provides one free user, five transcription hours per month and a 40-minute recording maximum, making its monthly hours relevant for lighter use.
Meetily offers an open-source Community plan with local transcription and AI processing; consider it if local processing is the priority.

Verdict

Bluedot is best for people and teams who want bot-free capture paired with searchable, shareable meeting records and AI-assisted recall across conversations. Its breadth of capture, language support and business controls are compelling, but the lifetime free cap, Basic’s audio-only hour limit and deletion terms after cancellation deserve attention. Choose it for an ongoing meeting knowledge base if those constraints suit your workflow; look elsewhere if you need a generous free allowance or long-term access after canceling.
