Overview

Booqinq is appointment software for businesses that need booking, staff scheduling and customer management in one system. It is a strong fit for salons and other appointment-led services, especially those expecting to add staff or locations. The free tier is a useful starting point, but its single-location ceiling makes expansion a paid-plan decision.

Key features

Customers can book through a hosted page without an app or account, and Booqinq also describes booking through Google Search and Maps with Reserve with Google. Its calendar handles staff, rooms, appointments, deposits and availability, giving teams more control than a simple appointment list. Technician scheduling and a nail service menu make it relevant to studios with service-specific workflows.

Client records can hold visit history, preferences, intake answers and notes, and are exportable on every tier. That portability matters for businesses that want to retain access to their customer data if they move systems. Integrations include Stripe, Google Calendar, WhatsApp, SMS/email, HubSpot and AgencyAnalytics, alongside an API and webhooks. Business adds a hosted MCP endpoint so compatible assistants can check availability and book; that is a specialized advantage rather than a reason for every small salon to upgrade.

Payments run through Stripe without a Booqinq markup, and card numbers go directly from the customer's browser to Stripe. Payment processing and prepaid messaging credits can still add costs on applicable plans, so the subscription is not necessarily the full monthly expense. Email reminders are capped at 500 per month on Free.

Booqinq says customer data is region-pinned to US-East, EU-West (Frankfurt) or AP-Southeast, with storage, processing and backups kept in-region. Personal fields are anonymized on deletion, followed by hard deletion after 30 days by default or 7 days in purge mode; deletion and restore actions are audit-logged. The company says it does not display compliance badges it does not hold.

Pricing

The Free plan is free forever. It includes unlimited staff and bookings, one location, 500 email reminders per month and a Booqinq-branded page. That is a capable entry point for a single-site business, but it retains the brand and reminder cap.

Solo costs €25/mo month-to-month or €21/mo billed annually. It keeps the one-location limit and unlimited staff, while adding an own domain, payments and deposits, full CRM, and WhatsApp, SMS and voice credits. It suits a solo location that wants its own booking identity and richer customer and payment tools; messaging credits may cost extra.

Pro costs €69/mo month-to-month or €57/mo billed annually. It also covers one location and unlimited staff, and removes Booqinq branding. AI rebooking, packages and memberships, and SDK/API access make it the more relevant step for a growing single-site business with repeat-service or integration needs.

Business costs €129/mo month-to-month or €107/mo billed annually. Multiple locations, unlimited staff, an AI phone agent, MCP and webhooks, and priority support target operators managing a broader business rather than a single studio. Agency has custom pricing for a white-label portfolio, wholesale credits and provisioning playbooks.

Booqinq offers a 14-day trial. The main pricing trade-off is straightforward: lower tiers remain limited to one location, while the multi-location plan starts at a substantially higher monthly price. Payments and prepaid messaging credits can also affect the total cost.

Platforms

Booqinq supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, covering mobile and desktop users across the listed platforms.

Who it's for

Booqinq targets salons, barbershops, nail studios, spas and wellness businesses, tattoo studios, lash and brow studios, pet groomers, and massage therapists. A business that needs staff and room scheduling, customer records and online booking will get more from it than one seeking only a basic booking page. Its unlimited staff allowance across plans is useful when staffing changes, while businesses needing multiple locations must choose Business.

Pros and cons

Pros: Customers can book without an app or account, reducing the steps between finding a service and requesting an appointment.
Pros: Exportable client records on every tier preserve access to visit history, preferences, intake answers and notes.
Pros: Unlimited staff and bookings on Free make it a substantive single-location starting point.
Pros: Stripe processing has no Booqinq markup, and card details go directly to Stripe.
Cons: Every plan below Business is limited to one location, which restricts growth for multi-site operators.
Cons: Free has a 500-email-reminder monthly cap and a Booqinq-branded page; the first paid tier is €21/mo with annual billing.
Cons: Payments and prepaid messaging credits may carry extra costs, so plan price alone may understate operating expense.

Verdict

Choose Booqinq if your salon or appointment-based service needs a hosted booking route, staff scheduling and portable client records, and you can work within a one-location plan or justify Business for multiple sites. Its free tier gives a single location room to start, while paid plans add branding control, richer engagement tools and expansion features. Look elsewhere if you need multiple locations without moving to the €129/mo Business tier, or if reminder and messaging costs make the overall price a poor fit.
