Overview

Breeze is an open-source remote monitoring and management platform for IT fleets, with an AI operator built into its service workflow. It is best suited to solo MSPs and lean IT teams that want fleet tools alongside AI-assisted operations, especially if they are prepared to self-host. The trade-off is a beta hosted service with firm device caps, and Breeze’s SOC 2 examination is still in progress.

Breeze brings device management, remote access, patching, scripts, monitoring, automation, ticketing, quotes, billing, and invoicing into one platform. Multi-tenant management and a customer portal also make it relevant to service providers managing customer environments. Its AI operator investigates fleet issues, applies fixes, and documents its work, while a four-tier risk engine can allow routine actions, hold sensitive ones for approval, or block others.

The deployment choice has practical consequences: Community is self-hosted and unlimited in device count, while the hosted plans are capped. A single Go binary acts as the endpoint agent for Linux, macOS, and Windows. An MCP server connects fleet tools to clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and ChatGPT.

Key features

Fleet operations and service delivery

Breeze covers common endpoint work—remote access, patching, scripting, monitoring, and workflow automation—alongside tickets, quotes, billing, and invoicing. That breadth can reduce the need to split technical operations and service administration across separate tools. It is a useful fit for MSP workflows; teams seeking only endpoint monitoring may find the broader service-provider scope unnecessary.

Governed AI operations

The AI operator is more than a chat interface: it is intended to investigate problems, perform fixes, and document the work. The four-tier risk engine gives teams a way to distinguish routine actions from actions that need approval or should be blocked. That is a meaningful control for teams automating fleet work, though the product’s AI is not simply unrestricted automation.

Integrations and security

The MCP server makes Breeze’s fleet tools accessible through several AI clients. Breeze also describes integration categories for communications, PSA or ticketing, and monitoring, with Slack and Teams among the named connections. Its trust center lists MFA, role-based and scoped access, hashed API keys and tokens, and AES-256-GCM encryption for secrets at rest. Breeze says its SOC 2 examination is in progress and does not describe itself as SOC 2 compliant until a report is issued, so organizations requiring completed SOC 2 status should look elsewhere for now.

Pricing

Breeze uses a freemium model. Its plans divide most clearly by hosting, fleet size, and the level of support or managed operation required.

Community — free, self-hosted, forever: Includes unlimited devices, all 64 modules, and use of your own Anthropic key. This is the strongest fit for technically capable teams that can run their own infrastructure and want to avoid a device cap. It does not include Breeze AI; you bring the Anthropic key.
Cloud Starter — 20.00 USD per year, billed $20 /year: Provides a hosted server for up to 3 devices and requires your own Anthropic key. The low annual cost suits a small evaluation or very small fleet, but the three-device ceiling makes it unsuitable for a growing MSP environment. The plan is in beta.
Cloud — 99.00 USD per month, billed $99 /month, or $1,000/year, or $1,800 for two years: Includes a hosted server for up to 250 devices and Breeze AI on a credit-based basis. It is the practical hosted option for larger fleets, but the cap and credit-based AI mean buyers should account for both fleet size and AI usage. This plan is also in beta.
Support Standard — 2000.00 USD per year, billed $2,000 /year: Adds self-host support with next-business-day response. It suits teams keeping Community’s self-hosted deployment but wanting a defined support option. The founding price is locked for 2 years.
Support Priority — 6000.00 USD per year, billed $6,000 /year: Provides self-host support with a 4-hour response target. It is aimed at teams for whom faster response is worth a substantial annual support cost; the founding price is locked for 2 years.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Includes dedicated infrastructure, custom SLA terms, compliance and audit support, and white-glove onboarding. It is the route for organizations needing a tailored operating and support arrangement.
Managed AI Ops — custom pricing: A supervised AI team works the customer’s queue with curated intake, for teams that want managed assistance rather than only the software.

Platforms

Breeze is available on the web and supports API access, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, and self-hosted deployment. The endpoint agent itself is for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Hybrid deployment gives teams a choice between hosted service and operating their own instance, but the self-hosted route carries the infrastructure responsibility.

Who it's for

Breeze is a strong candidate for solo MSPs, lean IT teams, and operators who want an AI client to work with fleet tools under configurable action controls. Self-hosting is especially compelling for teams that want infrastructure control and an unlimited device count without a subscription for Community. Hosted customers should match the plan carefully to fleet size: Starter stops at 3 devices and Cloud at 250.

It is less compelling for organizations that need a completed SOC 2 report before adoption, or for teams unwilling to manage self-hosted infrastructure and constrained by the hosted device limits. Community support is through Discord; paid cloud and self-host support plans list email or engineer support options.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free self-hosted Community plan has unlimited devices and all 64 modules, making it a substantial option for teams able to operate their own deployment.
Pro: The four-tier risk engine gives teams distinct ways to automate, approve, or block AI actions rather than treating every action alike.
Pro: Fleet operations and service-provider administration sit in one product, including ticketing, quotes, billing, and invoicing.
Con: Hosted capacity is limited to 3 devices on Starter or 250 on Cloud, which may force a plan change as a fleet grows.
Con: Both hosted plans are in beta, and Starter requires customers to bring their own Anthropic key.
Con: SOC 2 remains in progress, so Breeze is not the right choice for a buyer requiring an issued SOC 2 report.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of service-provider tools, see Managed Service Provider Software.

Checkmk is worth considering when monitoring is the priority: its free Community plan includes 2000+ pre-built integrations and covers up to ~100 hosts, rather than Breeze’s integrated AI operator and service-delivery breadth.
ManageEngine MSP Central is an option for buyers who prefer a paid MSP platform with a free trial and per-device network monitoring and management pricing.
Atera may suit teams seeking an RMM alternative with unlimited endpoints and 2 concurrent Splashtop sessions on its Pro plan.
Pulseway is another RMM option for buyers who want configurable endpoints and volume discounts, with monthly, annual, and 3-year options.
Site24x7 MSP is an alternative for teams evaluating a paid MSP monitoring product with a free trial.
Hudu is a different choice for teams focused on documentation: its Hudu plan is $30.00 USD per month with no user minimums.
Liongard is an alternative for buyers prioritizing integrations and configuration-change history; LiongardIQ includes 105+ integrations and 18-month configuration change history.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central may fit teams that want a free endpoint-management edition capped at 25 endpoints, or a paid on-premises annual edition.

Verdict

Breeze is a compelling fit for solo MSPs and lean IT teams that want fleet management, service workflows, and governed AI operations in one place. Its unlimited, free self-hosted Community plan is the clearest reason to choose it, especially for teams comfortable running their own infrastructure. Look elsewhere if you need a completed SOC 2 report, want a hosted service without device-cap concerns, or need a mature non-beta cloud offering.
