Overview

Alongside tax reports, invoicing, payments, mileage tracking and CRM, Vuuv provides projects with job costing and project-level profit and loss. Contractors can work with fixed-price, time-and-materials, cost-plus and unit-price contracts, and track change orders, retainage and cost codes. This gives Vuuv a stronger fit for businesses managing job economics than for companies seeking only a mileage tracker or invoice tool.

Key features

Job accounting and billing

Cost codes and job costing help contractors organize project expenses, while project-level profit and loss gives them a view of each job’s financial performance. Change-order and retainage tracking address common contract accounting needs. Pro and Elite also support AIA-style applications and certificates for payment, with a continuation sheet and project Schedule of Values. That makes those tiers the appropriate options for contractors handling progress billing; Plus does not include the feature.

Field records and AI

Project locations can help identify the current job for receipts, attribute mileage and associate GPS-stamped progress photos with a project. These tools connect field activity to project records, which is useful for contractors who want expenses and progress evidence organized by job.

Vuuv AI can answer natural-language questions about project books and extract a project, cost code, payee and category from receipt images for review. The extraction still calls for user review, and Plus includes only five lifetime AI receipt scans before requiring photo entry instead.

Integrations and security

Live integrations include Plaid, eBay, Stripe, SignWell, Amazon Seller Central, Apple App Store and Google Play Store; Etsy, Square, Patreon, Upwork and YouTube are marked as coming soon. Vuuv says integrations use OAuth 2.0, bank connections run through Plaid, and connections are read-only where applicable. Its privacy policy says Firebase stores data encrypted in transit and at rest and identifies SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3 and ISO 27001 compliance or certification for that infrastructure.

Support

Support is available by email, in-app request or contact form, with typical replies within 24 hours on business days. That gives small businesses several ways to raise issues, though the stated reply window applies to business days.

Pricing

Vuuv is freemium, with a 30-day trial and paid plans starting at $6/mo. The plans address distinct needs, but the free business tier’s AI scan cap and the construction plans’ seat and signature limits matter when deciding whether the entry price will last.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes and who it suits
Plus	Free for good	Unlimited transactions and invoices and estimates, up to 3 rental units, and 5 lifetime AI receipt scans, then photo entry. It suits a solo operator who needs basic business records or a small landlord, but it lacks the project and progress-billing features named for Pro and Elite.
Drive Free	Free; billed No charge	40 GPS trips a month and one vehicle. It works for a single-vehicle user with modest mileage needs; the monthly trip cap makes it a poor fit for frequent driving.
Drive	6.00 USD per month; billed $6 / mo	Mileage tracking only, with unlimited GPS trips and vehicles, manual mileage entry and IRS-compliant mileage reports. It is the focused choice for mileage tracking, not a substitute for the broader business and project tools.
Pro	12.00 USD per month; billed $0 for 30 days, then $1 a month for 3 months, and $12 a month after that	Unlimited businesses and properties and transactions, projects, 10 e-signatures per month, one team member, Vuuv AI and bank sync. It is the entry construction tier for a solo contractor who needs projects and progress billing; the single-member limit rules out a shared team workflow.
Elite	18.00 USD per month; billed $18 / mo	Everything in Pro, with 25 e-signatures a month and 10 team members. The higher signature and seat limits make it more suitable for a small crew, though businesses exceeding either cap will need another solution.

Platforms

Vuuv runs on Android, iOS and the web, so users can access it on mobile devices and through a browser.

Who it's for

The Projects offering names general contractors, remodelers, specialty trades and custom home builders as intended users. Vuuv is best for those businesses when a solo operator or small team needs project finances alongside bookkeeping and field records. Its contract-type coverage is broad, but the one-member Pro cap and Elite limit of 10 members set clear boundaries for growing teams.

Pros and cons

Pros

Project accounting is central to the product: job costing, cost codes, retainage, change orders and project-level profit and loss serve contractors tracking the economics of individual jobs.
Progress billing is covered on paid construction plans: Pro and Elite include AIA-style applications and certificates for payment with a continuation sheet and Schedule of Values.
Field records connect to projects: location-based receipt suggestions, mileage attribution and GPS-stamped progress photos can keep job records tied to the work.
There is a free starting point: Plus includes unlimited transactions and invoices and estimates, while Drive Free allows 40 GPS trips per month.

Cons

Plus has a narrow AI receipt allowance: its five lifetime scans mean regular image extraction requires a paid plan or photo entry.
Construction plans cap team capacity: Pro is limited to one team member and Elite to 10, which can constrain businesses with larger crews.
E-signatures are capped monthly: Pro includes 10 and Elite 25, so frequent signing needs may outgrow either allowance.
The free mileage plan has tight boundaries: 40 GPS trips monthly and one vehicle will not suit a busy driver or multi-vehicle operation.

Verdict

Vuuv is a strong fit for contractors who want job costing, contract-aware project accounting and field records alongside everyday business tools, especially solo operators and small teams. Its free tier and $12.00 USD per month Pro plan offer a low-friction route into project accounting, while Elite expands capacity to 10 team members. Choose another product if your crew needs more than 10 seats, your signing volume exceeds 25 per month, or your work depends on capabilities outside Vuuv’s stated limits.
