Overview

ChMeetings is an all-in-one church management platform for congregations bringing membership, giving, events, accounting, and worship planning into one system. It is best suited to churches that want those workflows together and can match their needs to a people-based plan. Its breadth is useful, but smaller congregations should weigh the free tier’s tight caps and any extra messaging costs.

Launched in 2018 by Jios Apps Inc, a U.S.-based software company, ChMeetings is accessible on the web and through Android and iOS apps. Churches can also use the desktop service in a browser or install it as a desktop app. Explore it alongside Church Management Software and Church Scheduling Software.

Key features

People, groups, and giving

Member profiles, bulk management, group organization, and an online or printable directory cover the core work of maintaining congregation records. Giving tools handle member and guest contributions made online or offline, pledge campaigns, and donation statements that can be printed or exported. Stripe and PayPal are among the listed integrations; ChMeetings says those services process payment data while it retains only necessary details such as the last four card digits.

Events and worship

Churches can manage free and paid events, schedule volunteers, track attendance, check in attendees by QR code, and handle child check-in and name-tag printing. That combination suits congregations coordinating both registration and on-site attendance. Worship planning adds service orders, a song library, and role scheduling for worship teams, though the breadth is less compelling if a church needs only a narrow scheduling tool.

Accounting, messaging, and integrations

The accounting module includes fund tracking, bank transaction syncing, budgets, financial reports, and check printing. Integrations include Mailchimp, Zapier, the ChMeetings API, several payment services, and messaging providers such as Twilio, SMS Global, Clickatell, and others. Voice and text messages initiated through ChMeetings or its branded church app may cost extra, so churches that rely heavily on messaging should account for that beyond the subscription.

Security and support

ChMeetings says it runs on Microsoft Azure, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and makes daily backups. Data is stored in the United States, and customers cannot choose another residency region—a meaningful constraint for organizations with location-specific requirements. The security page describes GDPR measures, optional two-factor authentication, role-based access, and activity logs; access-log reports are limited to paid users. Support is included on every plan by phone, live chat, email, ticket, and help center, with free onboarding and training also offered.

Pricing

ChMeetings has a permanent free tier and a 30-day trial. Paid plans are billed monthly, with annual billing also offered at 10 months instead of 12. Only active people count toward the people limit, making that cap the main factor in choosing a tier.

Plan	Price	People limit	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free, Free Forever	50 people; 50 donations per month	Small congregations testing a complete workflow or operating within both caps
V. Small	12.00 USD per month	100 people	Churches exceeding the free people cap
Small	25.00 USD per month	250 people	Growing congregations needing more room
Medium	40.00 USD per month	500 people	Mid-sized organizations with broader records
Large	50.00 USD per month	1,000 people	Larger congregations that do not need unlimited capacity
Unlimited	60.00 USD per month	Unlimited people	Churches that do not want to manage a people ceiling

The free tier is a genuine starting point, but its 50-person and 50-donation monthly limits can constrain a growing church. V. Small doubles the people allowance for 12.00 USD per month; higher tiers add capacity rather than a different listed feature set. The annual option’s two-month reduction can suit churches ready to commit to a longer billing period. Budget separately for possible voice and text charges.

Platforms

ChMeetings supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. The vendor’s mobile apps cover phones and tablets, while desktop use is through a browser or optional desktop app. This gives churches multiple access routes, though the data itself remains in U.S. storage regardless of customer location.

Who it's for

ChMeetings makes the most sense for churches that want records, contributions, events, volunteer schedules, worship plans, and accounting in one platform, especially when active-person counts fit a clear tier. It is less suitable for congregations that need non-U.S. data residency, require predictable messaging costs, or want to pay only for a single function.

Pros and cons

Broad church workflow coverage: People, giving, events, worship planning, and accounting sit together, reducing the need to split those tasks across separate tools.
Low-cost entry and scalable caps: A permanent free tier and paid people limits from 100 through unlimited offer distinct size bands.
Useful event operations: QR and child check-in, attendance tracking, volunteer scheduling, and name-tag printing address both planning and on-site administration.
Messaging can add cost: Voice and text sent through the platform or branded app may be charged beyond the plan.
Fixed U.S. data residency: Customers cannot select a different region, which rules it out for some organizational requirements.
Free tier is capped: The 50-person and 50-donation monthly ceilings may force an upgrade as activity grows.

Alternatives

Faith Teams is worth comparing for churches looking for a free account with up to 100 active people, though online giving must be activated within 30 days of signup.
Planning Center suits churches that prefer separate free tools such as Calendar, People, and Services rather than ChMeetings’ combined approach.
Tithely Giving is a fit when the priority is unlimited donations with no monthly fee on its Free Giving plan, while transaction fees apply.
ChurchTrac is another church-management option with paid plans starting at 29.00 USD per month for 75 people.
ChurchTools offers a paid Package XS at 39.00 USD per month for 100 people, with specified resource and roster allowances.
ChurchSuite is an alternative with a Solo plan at 15.50 USD per month for 0–99 active contacts and its Address Book module.
Tithely Custom Church App is a paid alternative focused on a custom church app, at 89.00 USD per month.
Churchteams is another option for churches comparing communication tools and plans.

Verdict

Choose ChMeetings if your church wants a single platform for member administration, giving, events, worship, and accounting, and its people-based tiers match your size. The free plan and clear capacity steps make it approachable, but messaging charges and fixed U.S. residency are strong reasons to look elsewhere when those constraints matter.
