Overview

RedSeed is a manager-to-leader platform built around recurring development: managers receive support for one-to-ones, while HR can spot patterns and themes across teams. The distinction between organization-wide trends and private coaching conversations is important for organizations that want to monitor development without exposing individual discussions in the HR view.

Its AI safeguards are unusually explicit: RedSeed says sensitive customer data is not sent to open AI models, and AI does not assess a person’s potential, performance or worth. Security measures include TLS 1.2 or above in transit, encryption at rest, tenant isolation and encrypted backups. RedSeed operates under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020; SOC 2 is in progress.

Key features

Coaching and learning

Shared agendas, prompts and coaching tools help managers prepare for, run and reflect on one-to-one meetings. Archie AI can assist with preparation, post-conversation reflection and finding relevant learning. This puts guidance close to the work managers need to do, though the Free plan’s limited Archie AI makes it an incomplete way to judge the paid coaching experience.

The ARC cycle assesses managers, recommends learning and coaching, then uses each cycle to inform the next. That creates a continuing development loop rather than a one-off course assignment. For HR teams, the value is the ability to see themes across teams; for managers, it is a path from assessment to relevant support.

Mobile and administration

RedSeed Mobile is free to download for iPhone, iPad, Mac with Apple silicon, and Android phones and tablets, but requires a RedSeed account. Meeting features and recording work in the app only when an organization enables them, so downloading the app alone does not guarantee those capabilities. Single sign-on is included in Enterprise.

Pricing

RedSeed uses a paid model but has a Free option. The free tier is free and covers one user plus two team members, all learning content, one month of rolling data and limited Archie AI. Sign-up is coming soon. The seat cap and short data window make it a small-scale introduction, not a durable option for organizations that need historical trends or full AI coaching.

Teams costs 40.00 USD per month, billed per manager per month, with team members at $27 per person per month. It adds full Archie AI coaching, full data history, trends and analytics, baseline skill assessment, capability profiles, 180° feedback, and an HR dashboard and reporting. This is the practical tier for organizations that want ongoing coaching and development visibility, but the separate per-manager and per-member charges mean total cost depends on team composition.

Enterprise starts at 18.20 USD per month, billed per person per month, with the rate dropping as numbers grow. For teams of 20 or more, it adds cross-team rollups, board-ready exports, bespoke learning content, a course authoring tool, SSO, a dedicated success partner and an SLA. It suits larger organizations needing executive reporting, tailored content or formal service commitments; the starting rate is not a flat quote for every organization.

Guided onboarding and help-center access come with every plan. Teams adds priority support, while Enterprise provides a dedicated success partner and SLA, making the higher tier more compelling for organizations with stronger support requirements.

Platforms

RedSeed supports Android, iOS, macOS and web. The mobile app extends access to Apple and Android devices, subject to an organization enabling meeting features and recording where needed.

Who it's for

RedSeed is aimed at managers who want to improve their people-management skills and the HR teams supporting them. It is strongest for organizations that want to connect one-to-one coaching, personalized learning and team-level development insight. A small group can use the capped free tier, while larger teams can consider Enterprise once cross-team reporting, bespoke learning or service commitments matter. It is less suitable for buyers seeking an uncapped free plan or a per-manager price that includes all team members.

Pros and cons

Connected development cycle: assessment, recommended learning and coaching feed into later cycles, giving manager development continuity.
Useful HR visibility with a privacy boundary: HR can see patterns across teams without private coaching conversations appearing in its view.
Clear AI and security commitments: RedSeed describes limits on AI data use and judgment, alongside encryption, tenant isolation and encrypted backups.
Free tier has narrow capacity: it is capped at one user and two team members, keeps only one month of rolling data and limits Archie AI.
Teams costs scale across two groups: managers and team members have separate monthly rates, so the headline manager price does not represent the full team cost.

Alternatives

Browse Employee Coaching Software for more options. Coaching Loft is worth considering for a lower-entry coaching setup: its Basic plan is 1.00 USD per month when billed annually and covers two clients or coachees, 50 MB of storage, base functionality, a public coach profile and Google Calendar sync; it also has a free plan and free trial. Choose it when that small coach-and-client scope is a better fit than RedSeed’s manager-and-HR model.

Relativ offers custom pricing, flexible scaling and feature expansion, with a free trial; it may suit buyers who want a scalable configuration and are comfortable discussing pricing. Hone is a different fit for organizations prioritizing live cohort learning: its annual per-learner membership includes unlimited live learning programs and Hone AI, with discounted rates for larger groups and a free trial.

AceUp offers enterprise coaching programs with pricing by discovery call. CoachHub is another paid digital coaching platform, with pricing available by demo request. Korn Ferry Assess uses pricing on request and publishes no public plan limits. Nadia offers customized Enterprise pricing by demo request. Sharpist offers a custom organizational coaching program with a flexible credit model.

Verdict

RedSeed is a strong choice for organizations that want managers to improve through supported one-to-ones and an ongoing learning cycle, while HR tracks development patterns without seeing private conversations. Choose it for that combination of practical coaching and team-level insight; look elsewhere if you need a genuinely broad free tier or want to avoid costs that grow with both managers and team members.
