Overview

ClubDJ Pro is two-deck DJ software for mixing audio and video on desktop, iOS, or in a browser. It is a strong fit for DJs who want desktop video and stem tools without a recurring desktop fee, but the browser version is more limited and the free desktop app has a session timer.

Key features

Mixing and automation

Beat and BPM detection, beat sync, live waveforms, three-band EQ, vinyl scratching, and beat-matched loops cover the core work of building transitions. Smart Transition can beatmatch and mix between decks, while Auto-DJ can run a playlist hands-free.

Video and stems

Desktop video mixing includes more than 25 GPU effects, 41 transitions, and 13 visual overlays. Real-time stem separation splits tracks into vocals, melody, bass, and beats. For video DJs and VJs, these are meaningful reasons to choose the desktop edition over the browser mixer. Desktop can also send mixed video to a projector or second screen in 1080p.

Controllers, files, and privacy

Desktop supports MIDI controllers and plays local audio and video files. The maker says it does not stream from Spotify, and there is no cloud library sync; DJs who depend on that streaming service or a synchronized collection across devices should look elsewhere. Audio is processed locally and not uploaded to the maker’s servers, though the privacy policy also describes anonymized usage analytics and crash or performance data.

Pricing

Online Mixer

The browser mixer is free, requires no account, and has no video mixing or MIDI support. It is a low-friction way to use the browser option, but those omissions make it a poor substitute for the desktop edition if video or controller support matters.

iOS Pro subscription (Annual)

The optional iOS Pro subscription costs 29.99 USD per year and unlocks all sound effects and premium features. It suits iOS users who want those additions; the free tier gives them up.

Desktop

The desktop app is free to download with all features unlocked, but sessions stop after 30 minutes and require a relaunch. The one-time Desktop license costs 39.99 USD per once, removes the timer, and includes lifetime updates. Both free and licensed desktop versions can be used for commercial gigs, so the free version can suit occasional use, while the license is the practical choice for longer sets.

Platforms

ClubDJ Pro runs on iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web. The desktop app supports 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and macOS 12 Monterey or later; its two-deck setup includes video mixing. There is no cloud library sync.

Who it's for

The maker positions the desktop app for mobile and wedding DJs, video DJs and VJs, beginners, and DJs moving away from subscription software. Video mixing, stems, MIDI support, and 1080p output make it particularly relevant to performers who want audio and visuals together. It is less suitable for anyone who needs Spotify streaming or a cloud-synced library.

Pros and cons

Pro: Desktop combines two-deck audio and video mixing with real-time stem separation, giving video DJs and VJs substantial tools in one app.
Pro: A 39.99 USD one-time desktop license removes the 30-minute session cap and includes lifetime updates; commercial gigs are allowed on both desktop versions.
Pro: The free browser mixer needs no account, making it easy to try without installing desktop software.
Con: Free desktop sessions end after 30 minutes, interrupting longer sets unless you buy the license.
Con: The browser mixer has no video mixing or MIDI support, while Spotify streaming and cloud library sync are absent.

Alternatives

DJ Software is the broader category directory. Consider djay if Android support matters: its free download includes core mixing features, with advanced features behind an optional PRO subscription. DJUCED is worth considering for Hercules controller users; its free Standard plan includes four decks, MIDI control, streaming, recording, Ableton Link, and Rekordbox XML import. Choose future.dj pro if a free lifetime version for non-commercial or home use is more important than unrestricted controller sessions: its controller support is limited to 10 minutes per session and effects are limited. rekordbox may fit DJs who want music management, with its free plan offering basic music management and DJ features, 1,000 cloud tracks with owner registration or Hardware Unlock, and one synced device. VirtualDJ has a free option for nonprofessional use without professional equipment. Mixxx is a free full version with no official paid or pro version. Serato DJ Pro starts at 11.99 USD per month for its DJ Pro plan, an option for those willing to pay monthly. PCDJ DEX 4 is a paid alternative at 149.00 USD per once, with free updates and activation for three machines.

Verdict

ClubDJ Pro is a compelling choice for DJs who want desktop audio, video, and stem tools with a one-time license rather than an ongoing desktop subscription. The free version makes it possible to explore the full desktop feature set, but its 30-minute cap is a real obstacle for longer performances. Look elsewhere if Spotify streaming, cloud library sync, or an unrestricted browser mixer is central to your setup.
