Overview

Solvely combines problem solving with tools for turning class materials and lectures into study resources. It is best suited to students who want one service for homework, revision, and note-making; its main drawback is that its AI answers still need checking.

Its breadth is the appeal: questions, course documents, videos, and recorded lectures can all feed into study workflows. That makes it more useful as a study companion than as an answer source to trust without review.

Key features

Homework help and explanations

Students can submit typed problems, photos, or PDFs and receive worked, step-by-step solutions across a broad range of subjects. Solvely says it cross-checks answers with multiple AI models, and offers video and visual explanations for topics such as 3D geometry, calculus graphs, and physics simulations. These features can help learners follow a method, but cross-checking does not make an answer authoritative: Solvely advises users to verify outputs and does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability.

Exam preparation and study materials

Uploading notes and past exams can produce likely-topic predictions, mock exams, cheat sheets, and review plans. Solvely can also turn slides, PDFs, or YouTube links into topic breakdowns, study guides, flashcards, and adaptive quizzes. This is a useful range for students with materials ready to organize and practice from. Predictions should guide revision, not determine what a student studies.

Lecture notes and access

Live recording creates searchable transcripts, AI-generated notes, and study sets from lectures. The mobile apps scan math, physics, and chemistry problems and explain college math questions. The Chrome extension captures screenshots of questions on Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Google Classroom, and other websites. It is free to install, though some features or higher usage limits may depend on the account or plan; that caveat matters for students who expect unrestricted extension use. Solvely also states that it offers 24/7 support.

Solvely targets post-secondary, college-bound, and professional learners, and says it does not direct services to children under 13. Its privacy policy describes commercially reasonable safeguards and security audits for transcription data, while acknowledging that absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Pricing

That makes it a sensible way to explore the service, not a clear basis for planning sustained use. Check account and plan limits before relying on features with higher usage needs.

Solvely.AI NPro-Weekly, Solvely.AI Pro-Monthly, and Solvely All Year Access: custom pricing. These named plans have no published price to compare.
Solvely Unlimited — 12 months: 4.83 USD per year, billed $57.99/year, with a 3-day free trial; includes unlimited models and features and can be canceled anytime. This is the lowest stated monthly equivalent for someone willing to commit to annual billing, but the short trial gives little time to evaluate it.
Solvely Unlimited — 1 month: 8.99 USD per month, billed $8.99 monthly; includes unlimited models and features. The monthly term avoids a longer commitment, at a higher monthly cost than the annual option.
Solvely Unlimited — 3 months: 11.66 USD per month, billed $34.99 every 3 months; includes unlimited models and features. At the stated rates, it costs more per month than either the monthly or annual option, so its appeal is not a lower rate.

The unlimited plans are the clearest fit for frequent users who need higher usage, while occasional users may prefer to start free and assess the caps before paying.

Platforms

Solvely is available on Android, iOS, the web, and as a browser extension. Mobile scanning suits students who want to capture printed or handwritten problems, while the extension brings screenshot-based question capture into supported learning websites. Extension availability does not by itself mean every feature or usage level is included at no cost.

Who it's for

Solvely is a strong fit for students who move between homework questions, exam preparation, course documents, and lectures, especially those who value step-by-step explanations and reusable study materials. It is less suitable for anyone who needs guaranteed answer accuracy, known free-plan quotas, or unrestricted extension access without first checking plan limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: One service handles photographed, typed, and document-based problems alongside exam prep and study-material creation, reducing the need to switch tools for those tasks.
Pros: Searchable lecture transcripts and generated notes and study sets connect recorded classes to later revision.
Pros: Annual Unlimited includes unlimited models and features, with a 3-day trial and cancellation anytime.
Cons: AI outputs are not guaranteed accurate, complete, or suitable, so students must verify them rather than rely on them as final answers.
Cons: The 3-month Unlimited option has a higher stated monthly rate than the one-month and annual options.

OpenTutor is another free-to-download Android, iOS, and web alternative, with a paid ad-free version also mentioned.

Verdict

Choose Solvely if you want homework explanations, exam practice, lecture notes, and study materials in one cross-platform service. Its range and annual Unlimited option are compelling for regular users, but anyone who needs dependable answers or predictable free and extension limits should verify outputs and check the plan terms—or choose a more focused alternative.
