Overview

CourtBeam combines court reservations with social sessions, events, memberships, and payments for court-based clubs. It suits pickleball groups and facilities that want to manage play and club operations together; the main trade-off is that calendar capacity and branded-app costs rise with the scale of the operation.

Clubs can serve owned facilities as well as partner venues and hired courts, with multi-location support and court types spanning tennis, padel, and pickleball. Players book through a club-owned web page. For a broader category comparison, see Court Reservation Software.

Key features

Bookings, sessions, and events

Live court availability and online booking give players a direct route to reserve space, while organizers can schedule one-off or recurring sessions at their own club or other venues. The calendar caps make scale an important consideration: Free allows two reservable court calendars, Club eight, and Pro twenty.

Events include capacity controls, attendee visibility, ordered waitlists, payment-aware waitlists, and refunds. That combination helps organizers manage oversubscribed events without separating queue handling from payment outcomes. Basic waitlists are included on Free; the more advanced event controls are a stronger fit for clubs charging for sessions or managing tighter capacity.

Memberships and payments

Club and Pro support monthly and annual memberships, with access control, refunds, credits, and receipts. Online payments run through a connected Stripe account, and CourtBeam says it does not store full card numbers. It charges no per-player fee or platform transaction commission, though Stripe processing fees and taxes still apply. This is useful for clubs that want to collect dues or booking payments without a CourtBeam percentage on each transaction.

Administration and security

Pro adds a custom domain, expanded reports, and priority support, and reduces CourtBeam promotion. CourtBeam describes role-based access, authentication, logging, backups, least-privilege controls, and encryption in transit and at rest where its infrastructure provides it. Product guides are available through the help center, with support by email at support@courtbeam.com.

Pricing

The freemium structure gives small groups a way to begin without a subscription, while paid plans add capacity and club-management features. The 30-day trial applies to Club.

Free — 0.00 USD per free, billed Free forever. It includes up to two reservable court calendars, groups, events, RSVP, and basic waitlists. It is a sensible starting point for a small club, but the calendar cap and lack of listed membership and advance-payment features make it less suitable for a growing operation.
Club — 99.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with a 30-day free trial. It raises the limit to eight calendars and adds advance payments plus monthly and annual memberships. This is the practical tier for clubs collecting dues or payments that have outgrown Free.
Pro — 199.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It supports up to twenty calendars and adds a custom domain, expanded reports, and priority support. It suits larger or more established clubs that need the additional capacity and presentation controls.

Pro clubs can request a branded native app service for an additional $300/month, bringing the total to $499/month, plus a $499 activation fee. Since booking is web-based, clubs seeking a branded app should treat this as a substantial separate cost rather than an included Pro feature.

Platforms

CourtBeam supports Android, iOS, and web, but its booking channel is web. Clubs should not assume the mobile platform support means players book through a native CourtBeam app; the branded native-app service is separately priced for Pro clubs.

Who it's for

CourtBeam is a strong fit for pickleball social groups, community clubs, and facilities with owned or rented courts that need to combine reservations with recurring sessions, events, memberships, or payment collection. Multi-location support and the higher calendar limits give larger facilities room to operate, while Free provides a low-commitment entry point for smaller groups. It is less compelling for a club that needs a branded native app but does not want to pay the additional service charge, or for operations whose calendar needs exceed Pro's twenty-calendar limit.

Pros and cons

Pros: No per-player fee or platform transaction commission keeps CourtBeam's own charges predictable, although payment processing fees and taxes remain.
Pros: Memberships, refunds, credits, receipts, and payment-aware waitlists connect club administration with bookings and events.
Pros: The Free plan supports two court calendars, events, RSVP, and basic waitlists without a subscription.
Cons: Calendar capacity is capped at every tier, topping out at twenty on Pro.
Cons: Bookings use the web channel; a branded native app adds $300/month and a $499 activation fee to Pro.
Cons: Memberships and advance payments begin at Club, so Free is limited for clubs that need to collect dues or booking payments.

Verdict

CourtBeam is a good choice for court-based clubs that want reservations, social play, memberships, and payments under one roof, especially if its no-commission model and Free entry tier suit their size. Choose it when the calendar limit matches your operation and web booking is enough; look elsewhere if you need more than twenty reservable calendars or a branded native app without the added monthly and activation costs.
