Overview

CrewLogic creates crew pairings and rosters around aviation authority requirements and airline rules. Its optimiser uses airline-defined distributions of flight types and destinations while accounting for crew qualifications, recent experience and rest. The system also covers training, operational control and reporting, giving airlines a wider set of crew functions than roster planning alone.

APM Technologies SA is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The company offers a brochure and demonstration, with custom pricing.

Key features

Pairings, rosters and operational control

Airlines can configure company and authority rules; EASA and CAP371 are listed as default rule sets. Real-time crew control on the day of operation, roster distribution, regulation displays and pairing swaps extend the system into daily operations. That combination is relevant for carriers that need planning to account for rules and rest, not just fill shifts. It is a specialised airline system, not a general-purpose scheduling tool.

Crew records and training

The crew database can hold availability, preferences, qualifications, languages, crew base, and passport and visa validity alongside personal details. Training functions record flight and ground events and results, manage recurrent checks and qualifications, and issue alerts. These tools support assignment and qualification administration in the same system, though airlines should assess whether they need this breadth.

Roster access, reporting and fatigue

Crew members can access rosters, changes, messages, and holiday or flight requests on the web. CrewWebPlus is an optional addition for web access to rosters, messages and briefings; CrewConnect is an optional Android and iOS app for rosters, requests, preferences and change alerts. Mobile messaging is also described as an add-on, so mobile access should not be assumed to be included.

Reports cover rosters, duties, training, duty and flight hours, fatigue management and other crew statistics, with user-defined outputs and formats. APM says CrewLogic can integrate with FRMSc’s SAFE Suite predictive fatigue models for customers with a SAFE Suite licence. That can suit airlines already using the suite, but it introduces a separate licence condition.

Pricing

CrewLogic has custom pricing; APM does not publish a price. The product page offers a brochure and directs airlines to arrange a demonstration. No seat count, quota, trial period or renewal term is given, so buyers should request a quote against their fleet, crew volume, deployment and optional access needs.

Platforms

CrewLogic is listed for Android, iOS, web and Windows. APM’s infrastructure document specifies a supported Windows operating system for workstations. Deployment specifications include Firebird databases for small and medium airlines and Oracle for medium and large airlines; APM advises on recommended hardware before installation. This points to an implementation that needs technical planning, rather than an app-only setup.

APM provides day-to-day technical phone support in French and English through its UK representative and Swiss offices.

Who it's for

CrewLogic is best suited to airlines that need crew pairing and roster optimisation tied to qualifications, experience, rest, duty-time rules and training records. It is a stronger fit for operations seeking roster control and administration together than for buyers looking for a low-cost, self-serve scheduler. Airlines considering it should weigh the implementation requirements and the optional web, mobile and SAFE Suite conditions alongside the operational coverage.

Pros and cons

Pros: Optimisation accounts for airline-defined flight and destination distributions alongside qualifications, experience and rest, helping align assignments with operating constraints.
Pros: Crew records, training, recurrent checks, alerts and configurable reports cover administrative needs beyond roster creation.
Pros: Real-time day-of-operation control, roster distribution and pairing swaps extend the product into ongoing operations.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a sales discussion, making budget comparison less direct.
Cons: Web additions, the native mobile app and SAFE Suite fatigue integration have separate conditions, so buyers need to confirm which access and integrations are included.
Cons: Database and workstation specifications, plus hardware advice before installation, mean deployment requires technical preparation.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, see Crew Scheduling Software. Consider ISF Watchkeeper if its Android, iOS, macOS, web, Windows and API platform coverage is a better fit; it is paid, offers a free trial, and uses pricing by request. FlightStratix is another paid, web-based option with a free trial and a Standard plan for up to 5 users and 50 GB storage.

HASTUS, ProVerne Crew Management System and RadiantFleet are paid alternatives with Android, iOS and web platforms. Consider JetCrewz if its published Essential plan at 29.00 USD per year or Pro plan at 39.00 USD per year fits your requirements; it offers a free trial and web access. Signal is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, web and API platforms. AIMS is a paid airline-software option with Android, iOS, self-hosted and web platforms; its airline crew and aircraft counts are requested through an RFI.

Verdict

Choose CrewLogic if your airline needs roster optimisation, crew administration, training and reporting in one operational system, with assignments shaped by rules, qualifications and rest. Its breadth is the main reason to shortlist it; custom pricing, deployment planning and separately conditioned access and fatigue integrations are the main reasons to compare alternatives before committing.
